3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nicw brew. Slightly sweet, but not overdone. Tastes different than most IPA’s and since Tennessee doesn’t get this yet (real soon), it was a treat.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a nearly clear medium cold with a rock solid one finger white head. Really amazing head retention and strong lacing cleaning to the sides of the glass.
Aroma is packed full of tropical fruit. Tangerine and pineapple along with cut grass. A little bit of bready malt is buried underneath but the citrus hops totally dominate.
Flavor is a hop wallop from the get go. Very juicy and heavy on pineapple, mango, and orange. Some cut grass sneaks in but takes a back seat to the tropical fruit. Bitterness is moderate to high and is long lasting. There is some sweetness here but it is nicely balanced by the bitterness. Not much malt flavor, maybe some bread, with a nice soft wheat mouthfeel.
Overall, a really good beer and probably my favorite so far from Lagunitas. Awesome example of the style and dangerously drinkable with the 7.5% completely hidden. One to pick up whenever possible.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pineapple hops aroma right away, followed by some light caramel and then, as the beer warms, some pine, scotch tape, and spiciness. Almost clear gold under an eternal, white, lacy cover. Flavour is an excellent balance of sweet, light caramel malt and hops: spicy and herbal. Faint lychee and kiwi fruit and other tropical fruit accents. Medium body, medium carbonation, faintly bitter finish.

3.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hoppy wheat beers exploded where I live recently and this one has been going on since before then. Aroma of citrus, candy like hops. Tastes hoppy. I'm guessing Centennial hops but don't quote me on that. Tasty and glad I have more.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
One of the best ipa out there. Really smooth with a perfect blend of hops. Has a slight tinge if fruit and leaves little after taste.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Another decent pale ale from Lagunitas; the site calls it an IPA but it seems more like an American to me, lighter and drier but more floral and sharp. More drinkable than one would expect either way given the ABV.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Really tasty balanced ale. Rich caramel malts like a nice brown but with good hop balance. Reminiscent (like the Sumpin’ Wild) of Rayon Vert to me.
