Way smooth and silky with a nice wheaty-esque-ish-ness. Just the little sumpin’ sumpin’ we all need to kick Summer into full swing! Ingredients: Hops, Malt, Hops, Hops, Yeast, Hops, Water, and Hops.

Morey's rating

   AROMA 9/10   APPEARANCE 5/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 18/20
Morey (46) - Erie, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 12, 2012
INFORMATION: 12oz bottle with no freshness date. I know that Lagunitas usually puts a code on the bottle from which you can determine what day of the year that it was brewed, but there is no such code here. This bottle is from this Spring’s batch, so it’s pretty fresh. 64 IBUs....7.5% ABV.

APPEARANCE: Pours a pale yellow-orange color with a good two fingers worth of off-white colored head floating on top. Plenty of carbonation bubbles visible within the glass. Pretty good clarity for a wheat beer. Impressive lacing sticking to the inside of the glass with each sip.

NOSE: Orange, lemon, mango, juicy fruit gum, musk melon! This beer is fruiTy with a capital T! Behind the wall of citrus lies subtle hints of this being a wheat beer.

TASTE: Good light wheat flavor up front, but it’s short lived. Fruity flavors come rushing in just as the aroma suggest. There’s a touch of hop bitterness towards the middle, but this beer is big on the citrus, and not so much on the bitterness. The flavor of the wheat shows itself again towards the back end. Soft fruity finish begs for you to take another sip.

MOUTHFEEL: Medium bodied with a soft carbonation.

OVERALL: The best of the best where wheat beers are concerned.

Morey’s Bottom Line: The first time that I had this, I was floored. I’ve had it several times since, and nothing’s changed. If you see this, by all means....grab a six pack!

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2017 Has a nice hoppy taste with a nice almost sugary cereal like after taste. Perfect for any time of the year.

Hoppy for an ale. Tastes more like an IPA, not an ale. Between gold and amber color. But, good taste. Pizza My Heart, Monterey, CA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy orange golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale toasted wheat malts, caramel, resiny hops, citrus, and floral notes, more sweetness than bitterness, good beer.

Very good beer. Smell is mostly citrus and hops. Taste is blended with malt, and it is very drinkable. Hops taste at end of mouthful is perfect-- this is a very enjoyable pale ale, and very balanced. Beer reminds me of 3 Floyds Gumballhead, but this beer is much more accessible and the price is right-- so if you are in the mood for a Wheat Pale Ale, definitely seek this one out, you should enjoy it.

Classica ottima Ipa con tutto ciò che hanno le ottime Ipa. Bevuta non proprio a temperatura ottimale. Pericolosa, sembra una session da 4 e rotti.....

katrinaez (2019) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 27, 2017
Floral, hoppy scent, thick mouthfeel, hoppy upfront with grapefruit taste at the end, bottle.

Not too memorable, but quite good. Not very dense, allows hops to speak for themselves. Grapefruit-floral aromas.
