Another Big Sister of the Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale…. Loads of Malted Wheat for a Curious Malt Foundation and a Light Color, But Our Belgian Yeast Leaves a Huge Flavor and Complexishness.

Not a fan of Belgian yeast beers at all, but figured I’d give it a try. Aroma is sourdough, yeast, some citrus. Golden amber pour with a frothy white head. Taste is lots of yeast, slick mouthfeel. Not my thing.

Pours little amber. Small white head. Good lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, hops, a little yeast zest. Flavor is the same. Little yeast zing in the flavor, and pineapple on the finish. Moderate to high carbonation, light finish, bitterness in the finish. Another good one from La-goo-nee-tus.

The Belgium yeast used in this beer combined with the wheat makes an impactful taste. Nice unique body and overall flavor.

Bottle. Golden amber. Not much head. Sweet fruity aroma. Slightly tart and fruity with a dry finish. One to buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Honey gold color, big white foamy head, fresh hop aroma. Full and balanced, creamy mouthfeel, big hops, not too bitter.

I have had a little sumpin sumpin ale, and to be honest I was expecting a little more from this beer because of how much I liked it, I think the type of yeast they used takes away from the hoppy taste of the beer to some degree. I like it, just not as much as the original sumpin’ sumpin’.

bomber sample- beautiful golden straw with a moderate white head, and sticky lacing. Excellent clarity. Nose- pine, fruity, spice, soapy. Taste- very interesting interplay of bittering hops and belgian yeast esters of floral fruitiness along with some citrus notes. Body and carbonation is spot on. A very dry finish from the significant hopping. Very tasty!

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Appearance is light caramel color with lots of beige, frothy head. Aroma is yeasty and fruity. Taste is heavily malt, Belgian yeast, mild and smooth hop profile with notes of grapefruit. Especially pleased with the palate - dry but smooth, not overly bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Clear, orange-hued honey body topped with a fluffy, sticky off-white head that coats the glass with thick lacework. Aroma is...unique. Big hops, pine and citrus, but there’s a lot of Belgian flare: grass (from the wheat), clove, fruity esters, bubble gum. Mouth is medium-full with light carbonation and a balanced finish, on the dry side, sticky on the lips after a while. Flavor is sweet up front but with a large dose of hops throughout. Flavors of peach, grapefruit, citrus, wheaty finish that’s dry and bitter. Balanced. Big. Rated high...because I’m starting to do that now. And I like this beer quite a bit...quite a bit. A decent belgian...but thoroughly hopped and malted with good ole Lagunitas style.
