Tap at fobab. pretty straight forward, balanced, clean bourbon, dark chocolate, milk, and cream stout. nice crisp bitter coffee in regular version is smashed by vanilla and milky bourbon. not bad.

FoBAB 2010: Deep brown with a small frothy head. The aroma has notes of coffee, vanilla wafers, toast and roast, butterscotch and a hint of chlorine. The taste is boozy and medicinal with a over laying chemical influence. There is some coffee, chocolate, oak, and earthy tobacco tones under the crap. The mouth feel is smooth but thin, WTF, way to ruin a perfectly nice coffee stout. Something went wrong with this beer.

hombrepalo (1972) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 8, 2010
Sampled @ FoBAB 2010. Dark brown with thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Taste is of more of the same with a sweet tartness to the finish. Decent brew.

Suneson (58) - Farmington, Minnesota, USA - JUL 21, 2010
Dark brown color with a little creamy colored head. Ok aroma but very malty with little coffee flavor and kinda flat. Nothing more than an ok finish. Not as good as other coffee flavored beers i have tried.

Better than I had expected as it was fairly inexpensive for a quality stout.

Bottle. 25.4oz. Split with Vinny. Pours deep coffe brown with a tan, creamy head. Aroma of vanilla, coffee, caramel, toffee, milk, malt, and rye. Rich, full body and a spicy, clean, smooth palate. Satisfying warm in the finish. Good stout.

DigitalMan (193) - Idaho, USA - FEB 18, 2010
Dark with thin light brown head. Sweet aroma. Not heavy on the coffee, malty. Not enough carbonation.
