Big nose of chocolate, coffee, very slight bourbon and maybe vanilla and coconut. Not sure. Very complex. Spent ten minutes just smelling it; deep dark brown, big caramel coloured head and sticky lacing; sweet and not cloying, rounded so there are subtle hints of acid and salt, noticeably bitter but not hoppy; Rich and full bodied, well carbonated without being fizzy, sticky and a slightly creamy texture, short finish; Big impression.
Mmm, tasty! The bourbon barrel really smooths this beer out! Has a very nice coffee aroma w/ just a hint of the barrel age. It pours black w/ a thin tan head that leaves good lacing. On tap at Crescent Moon - Omaha Beer Week 2014. Dark brown with off white head. Bourbon, coffee, cream and a little chocolate. Taste has big bourbon with coffee and cream. Some vanilla and cocoa along with some sweetness. Medium bodied and low moderate carbonation. On draught at Belmont station - pours dark muddy brown with medium thick head. Nose of bourbon, malt, and mollases. Taste is complex blend of oak, bourban, warming vanilla, and espresso.

Draft @ Falling Rock Tap House, Denver, CO. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty woody whiskey and chocolate aroma. Dark thick beer blocks out light entirely. The beer smells like caramelized sugar and cream. Taste of the chocolate then creamy then turns a little alcoholic coffee bitter at the end. Thick and syrupy delicious.
