Bottled. A deep red beer with a medium sized orange head. The aroma is lovely grassy combined with notes of grapefruit, hops, and some caramel, as well as just the faintest hint of alcohol - a very inviting aroma. The flavor is very sweet - a bit too sweet for my liking, with strong notes of caramel, hops, grapefruit, grass, pine needles, roasted malt, and alcohol, leading to a very bitter end with the hops, grapefruit and alcohol lingering, the bitterness finaly turns dry. The body is thick. Just a bit too aggresive in sweetness and alcohol for my, but still nice. joergen (28142) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 8, 2007

Bottled. Dark amber colour, mediumsized white head. Alcohol, candy sugar, malts and caramel in aroma. Flavour is malts, caramel, candy sugar, and a lot dark fruits. Some slight hints of nuts also. Aftertaste is candy sugar and malts. omhper (25132) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAY 26, 2003
Bottled. Redish amber. Rich grapefruity hop aroma. Sweet and malty with clean, hard mouthfeel. The finish is sharp and resiny. Too raw and unbalanced to impress. All this apart, it is still a good beer, but I expect more of a barley wine than hops. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 14, 2007
(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of sk8viking. Clear, amber golden with an off-white head. Sweetish aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Full in body with sweet accents of caramel - somewhat medicinal. The finish is dry. 060407 Travlr (24826) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 25, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 29, 2013 Had to have this one just to make nuplastikk’s life easier. Brown color, tan head, solid lacing. a big beer, as you would expect. Sweet, but balanced enough. I guess it’s obligatory to say that the alcohol is well hidden - so there, I said it. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2009
27th July 2008. Made with brown cane sugar. Tastes exactly like it was brewed! A hoppy barleywine with a healthy dose of brown sugar counteracting the hoppy bitterness. Never cloying or overly sweet.
