COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An aborted batch of their Old Gnarleywine ended up tasting nearly as good as that they were hoping for, so they bottled it. God bless capitalism. OG 1.100 IBU 51.1

WOW THIS BEER WAS SO GOOD!!!!!!! It was like desert in a glass. Nice full flavor of an ale with the sweetness of brown shugga. My new beer for my sweet tooth days!

Maybe it’s because I drank this on christmas eve or it’s because it’s the best barley wine i have ever had. Either way it tasted great and had a high alcohol content. This beer is a future purchase for sure!

This might be the perfect beer - for me. Non intrusive taste and clean finish. I love it. Not bitter but a definite IPA taste.

12 oz bottle. Aroma: malty, boozy, and piney, with hints of brown sugar (obviously), caramel, resin, and barnyard. Taste/Palate: sweet and crisp; finishes with a long bitterness.

Just an unbelievably balanced Barley Wine-style beer with a beautiful copper-red color and molasses nose and a perfect slightly bitter finish. Overall, this beer should move from a seasonal to a year-round beer.

Poured from a 12oz bottle, deep malty aroma, nice barley wine taste with a sweet backbone. It's hard to explain. But a truly amazing beer, a must try ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Unique sweet caramel and brown sugar flavors in this well balanced, great tasting barley wine. Nice hoppy finish. One of my favorite barley wines. Fantastic!

Just what I’ve been searching for! They ought to call this, "What Can Brown Do For You." High octane beer with noticeable alcohol, sweet but not syrupy, spicy, fruity, bitter but not chalky, powdery head, atop deep red ruby translucence. Like velvet in the mouth.

Don’t be fooled by 9.8% abv, this is a serious beer. It’s hoppy, sweet, and has plenty of malt. This beer has a huge flavor so save it for last because of the overwhelming hops.
