COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An aborted batch of their Old Gnarleywine ended up tasting nearly as good as that they were hoping for, so they bottled it. God bless capitalism. OG 1.100 IBU 51.1

Copper colored pour with a small khaki head. A strong grapefruit hoppiness, some pine, and a lot of toffee, caramel, and toasted bread. A bit of perfume, too. Nice caramel and brown sugar sweetness with a strong fruit character to the flavor. Some pine bitterness, a bit of grapefruit, and floral hops. Mild alcohol on the finish. Quite nice and surprisingly easy to drink barleywine.

Didnt expect much, guess thats why it was so good. Hop bitterness on initial taste, then strong sweet caramel blends nicely for a long chewy nice finish.

12oz bottle to tulip. Pours ruby brown, tan froth head. Aroma of pine, plum, nut, black cherry. Taste of same with fruity booze finish. Yeah...a tiny bit of brown sugar with lots of dark berry. A lot of herbal medicinal flavor too on top of the boozy finish.

Red amber with thick off-white head. Malty caramely aroma. Taste - caramel, brown sugar, molasses. Sweet and sticky but has some significant spicy bitter hoppiness which cuts the sweet. Big at near 9% but dangerously drinkable. Delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rating #2197 - 2015.12.01 - Draught @revolutionyeg - Aroma is brown sugar, caramel, toffee. Pours a rich amber, barely there white head. Medium carbonation, heavy alcohol warmth. Probably the best tasting abortion ever, this avoids some of the hotness of raw boozy barleywines, sweet sugary notes linger into a pretty exquisite bitterness. Nice.

Intense piney-floral IPA like aroma. CLear copper color with a sudsy off-white head. Syrupy-sweet, almost barleywine-esque flavor but spiked with heavy piney-floral hop notes. A great beer.
