UPDATED: JUN 4, 2006 A clear red-brown beer with a lasting brown head. The aroma is sweet with a slight hint of chocolated. The flavor is sweet with notes of prunes as well as hints of chocolate, there is a slight sourness in the background. 1st Vaasa CS/ES beer session (thanks JS). Very deep reddish brown colour, close to black, with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is coffee, some wood, mild chocolate as well as some rather ashy and tobaccoish notes as well. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, smoked wet wood, some chocolate as well as mild vanillaish notes.
Dark maroon color with a thin tan head and slight lacing. Aroma of alcohol, cocoa and Starbucks. Good body. Flavor of malt then cafe au lait and a slight smoke finish. Decent. cgarvieuk (26077) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 27, 2009
Bottle at home ... thanks to another Forgoten trader (sorry) ... deep black ... soft but good roast with lots of soft coffee nose ... nice mellow roast coffee and loads of it ... some milk sugers ... good roast .... low hop just as i like it... Id say uncomplicated but wonderfully drinkable. omhper (25802) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 18, 2008
Bottled. Dark ruby, rich firm head. Aroma of coffee and blackberries. Sweet and dense. medium bodied wit somewhat syrupy mouthfeel. Coffee is evident, but does not assault, tobacco chimes in. Salty bitterish finish. Lovely flavours, but a bit sticky. I don’t like sugar in my coffee... madmitch76 (25801) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2009
30th July 2008. Rich malty beer with a cream undertone. The coffee dominates in a good way. The coffee has just a little bitterness at the end. A very smooth coffee beer.
