Bomber. Beautiful pour with head retention expected in a good stout. Aroma is powerful but not distinctive enough. Yes it smells like a coffee stout, but I get a little alcohol in my nose... tastes like a cappuccino. Would eat for breakfast.

; pours back with creamy lifght brown head. Chocolate, coffee, cacao, toffee, dark fruit esters. Full-medium ody, velvetly smooth texture.
Smells of chocolate and roasted coffee.
Lingering tan foam. Dark beer but slight bit of redness touches through against a light. Velvety carbonation. Nice oiliness on the finish, pretty thick beer.
Dark roasted coffee taste to start. I would expect a strong bitterness to follow but surprisingly it doesn't. Other notes of dark chocolate, smoked wood, mocha, slight leather, and oak. I'm usually not the one for overly roasty or woody beers but this one is decadent. Definitely gets better as it warms up. Good coffee beer. donandres (695) - Makati, PHILIPPINES - FEB 7, 2018

On draught at Old Chicago, June 14th, 2015.
Pours black, small off white head of foam, good lacing for as strong as this is.
Smells of coffee, duh, roasted malt, dark chocolate, loads of bitterness.
Same for the taste, would make a good breakfast beer if I had bottles of it.
Medium to medium high carbonation, good mouthfeel. euniceradio (563) - Worthington, Minnesota, USA - SEP 29, 2017
22 bomber to tulip. Pours black, khaki head. Aroma of coffee bean, chocolate, toffee. Taste of same with vanilla, cola and acidic bite. Off taste from back end. Could be the booze, but is rather off putting. Might be an old bottle.

Had this at their tasting room. I love the taste of coffee, so was pleasantly surprised by the taste of this, as I don't always love capp stouts beerlover503a (28) - Alabama, USA - SEP 15, 2017
Lagunitas has done a very nice job with this stout. Such a wonderful cappuccino aroma and flavor as the name would imply. Nice and warming but no detectable alcohol taste. Great Beer!!! PatrickYEG (15) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 13, 2017
At 9.1% alcohol it's a bit too strong for my taste. Pours a dark thick black with little foamy head

Bomber thanks to hauxe. Pours almost black with a tan head. Aroma of dark malts and espresso. Taste is espresso, dark malts, alcohol, but primarily coffee. Finish is roasty, bitter and boozy. Good but not great. darbeer75 (1156) - Round Rock, Texas, USA - APR 24, 2017
Aroma: chocolatey with a little coffee; Appearance: pitch black with creamy tan head that lingers; Taste: follows nose with more booziness; good; Palate: heavy body with long, boozy finish; Overall: would like more dimension but still enjoyable. Would drink if available but probably not get again.
