Nose has sweet malt.

Mild malt smells with some leather and apricot. Pours an orange with a frothy quick dissipating white head with good lacing. Tastes follow the nose, malty with a little metalic note. Short finish and dry mouthfeel. Balanced but less character than the average Lagunitas.

Yet another Lagunitas standby, gotta rate em all! This one pours a rich dark caramelly color. The aroma is sweet and malty and caramelly. The taste is rich deep earthy malts with yes caramel and even a little spicy/tangy kick on the back end. Overall, this is smooth, easy drinking, but with a little complexity and an unexpected 6.75% ABV, it rises above most of its amber peers. Good for realizing the high temp tomorrow is 69 degrees lol. Bottle. Deep copper with thin white head. Big bread and caramel malt, dried fruits and ester elements, with underpinning citrus elements. Initial moderate bitterness, with big bread and caramel malt mid palate. Earthy hop bitterness provides long finish and prevents any sweetness. Enjoyed this as my first autumnal beer for the season.

Bottle from J’s. Pours a slightly hazy brown with a half finger of foam. Caramel and toffee nose. Clean and very malt forward. More caramel, a little wood and earth. Dry finish. Basic, but OK for a malt head I suppose.
