Sometimes you want a beer, then you realize how much crap you need to do before you call it a day. This is it. Nicely dosed with Big, Round Hop Flavors and a Toasty Malt Foundation to satisfy your every need. But it still lets you stay in the game to do what needs to be done. Yup.

12oz brown bottle. Yellow pour, big frothy white head. Lots of lacing. Huge hoppy nose, mix of pine and grapefruit, sharp orange and a hint of dank. Taste is highly hoppy with grapefruity notes, some tropical fruitiness and a mild soapiness, bit of orange, light malt. Finishes dryly, medium amount of bitterness carries through, grapefruity hops linger. Light body, medium carbonation. Overall, a nice brew, great aroma, high drinkability, even though the soapiness detracts from it just a tiny bit and the body seems a little thin. Worth trying.

Overrated. Didn't move the needle beyond a mass produced beer. Smells nice though ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle. Crystal clear, yellow-ish golden colour with average, fluffy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, snow-white head. Grassy and fruity, citrusy hoppy aroma, notes of fresh hay, peach, mandarine, orange, a touch of mango and passion fruit. Taste is dry, fruity hoppy, slightly grassy, hints of nectarine, peach, mango, mandarine; pale malty basis with some residual sweetness. Very clean, almost a bit sterile.

opalescent pale yellow colour, moderate sized, quickly disappearing off-white head; aroma of grapefruit, pine notes, some rotten mango and hints of biscuits, taste is the same with slight dill notes; good beer, though not an extraordinary masterpiece

Bottle, pours deep gold with a fluffy head and aromas of mango, melon and orange. Medium herbal dry-bitterness over fruity-sweet maltiness. Tasty.

Pours a light yellow-gold with white head. A floral, citrus hop, and caramel malt aroma. A grainy body with citrus, hops, pine, caramel, malt, and some fruits. A bitter hop and dry grain aftertaste.

Listen, sometimes you gotta take a break from the DIPAs and imperial stouts and just have a tasty, relatively low ABV beer to chug and this one fits the bill very well. It has a light citrus and hops smell and pours the standard light amber pale ale color. The flavor is subtle, but present, giving you enough hoppy flavor to keep you interested, but not in such quantities that it destroys your palate or forces you to pace yourself. One of my very favorite session beers. Good for taking a number 2 before catching a train to NYC for a Gorguts/Artificial Brain show. \m/

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2017 Bottle poured into a shaker glass. Pale yellow color and a billowing white head. Pine, pale malt, and not much else in the aroma. Initial taste is lemon, mango, pine, and pale malt. Aftertaste is fleeting and lightly bitter. Light body and medium carbonation. A no frills beer but not without flavor. Probably about as close as Lagunitas will ever get to something on the lighter end of the spectrum.
