Sometimes you want a beer, then you realize how much crap you need to do before you call it a day. This is it. Nicely dosed with Big, Round Hop Flavors and a Toasty Malt Foundation to satisfy your every need. But it still lets you stay in the game to do what needs to be done. Yup.

Sampled on 11/6/2012. This IPA pours a medium yellow color from a 12oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is citrusy, tropical, fruity and sweet, and yes hoppy. A medium to lighter bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, a touch tropical. The hops are citrusy, piney and grapefruity. Decent carbonation. A nice drinkable IPA, hoppy and slightly bitter with a nice malt backbone. An excellent session IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Aroma of grapefruit and pine, the hops outperform the malts on this one. There is very little noticeable maltiness. Needs more balance, not for me.

Bottle from Crown & Shuttle, Shoreditch. A nice straw colour, with a fair bit of visible carbonation. Lovely if a bit muted citrus and peppery hop odour. Some wood shavings, gardenia, hay. The taste is not forthcoming. You think it is going to hit and then - doesnt. Its bittersweet, slightly hoppy but very very muted. Finish is not so much short as nonexistent. This is a prettyy egregious fail from a very good brewery. Meh meh meh.

12oz bottle thanks to Andrea. It pours a clean pale straw color with a medium white head. Aroma is clean and fruity, juicy with notes of melon and persimmon. Taste is also medium fruity and grassy with notes of persimmon and straw. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, very nice

[email protected] Pours almost clear light golden with white head. Aroma has notes of malt but is otherwise hoppy with citrus, grass and a hint of pine. Taste is quite crisp and fresh, lightly malty and hoppy with citrus, a hint of pine and grass. Quite lightbodied and easygoing, straight forward and lightly watery. Finish is dry and light.

Privately tasty, piney hoppiness, ale suggestive, crisp, and satisfying. Thirst quenching. A very low-key "day-time". When you still need to do a whole lot of things perfectly before your day ends, this is the perfect beer. And I can hardly wait for those hot summer weekends when it will be a fantastic companion for sweaty hard work. Pop one of these when youre done, sit back, and admire your handiwork.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Bright clear golden color with the lazy white head you expect from Lagunitas. Aroma is grapefruit, pineapple, pine (the tree, not the apple from said tree), toast. Flavor has bready malt, light toast, medium hoppiness, citrusy and piney. Lighter feel, nicely crisp. Enjoyable SIPA.

12 ounce bottle. Smell like a hoppy beer. A nice refreshing beer that is medium straw in color. Taste hoppy and crisp. Medium carbonation. A little astringent and fizzy on the tongue. Average India pale ale.
