Enjoy this one more than their IPA. Much more malts than hops in this one, but it has a pleasing, full mouthfeel. Schroppfy (2362) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - JAN 3, 2002
Very very nice. Malty, as others have noted, and great for times when you don't want a huge hop aroma and taste...in other words, well balanced. Liked it alot, it just 'paled' in comparison after the Humboldt pale last night. Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - AUG 12, 2001
Rich & malty with a fresh, handcrafted taste. Wholesome, bread-like aroma with a bitter edge. Would've liked to see more aroma hops in this one. TAR (2802) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - AUG 10, 2001
UPDATED: JAN 20, 2007 As I am drinking one right now, I am sort of disappointed. Maybe because I just had two of their kick ass IPA’s. Very malty and well balanced. I just like more hops, that’s all. Pretty average though. Shadallion (534) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAY 22, 2001
Really dwindles in comparison to their sublime India Pale Ale...............

solid malty/hopped nose with biscuit nuances; has what seems to be a real cara pils head, not just suds; intriguing sunset color; densely malted (a touch of chocolate malt even?), very complex in mouth; really grows on one, great balance and depth; as Cartman says, 'KICK ASS!'
