On draft at westover beer haus. Pours black with a tan head. Hoppy aroma. Some notes of toasted malts and coffee. Mild bitter finish. egajdzis (6574) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 1, 2013
Darker golden color with a medium sized white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of orange, floral hops, citrus, tangerine, and light grass. Taste of citrus, pine, grass, tropical fruits some sweet malts, and a lightly bitter finish. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - APR 13, 2013
On tap at the brewery. It pours a clear yellow with a white head. The aroma is fresh with citrus and hints of coniferous tree, mango and minor menthol aromatics. The flavor is lightly spicy and citrusy with lemon and a very light malt profile. Reminds me of Daytime. Really good. dmac (6251) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Super cold pint at Sur Taco. Poured a pale gold body with a thick layer of silky foam bright white head. Aroma of whole lemons, citrus rind, grains and bread. Medium body with stronger tight bubbly carbonation and a creamy finish. Flavor of citrus rind, touch if yellow grapefruits, toast and grain husks. Solid solid beer. In short: A lean, clean and refreshing blond hoppy beer. Good.

How: Tap at Reservoir, Waterbury VT.
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a medium white head.
In long: Nose is quite hoppy, half-floral (dandelions) and half-fruity (pineapples and white grapefruits). The uber-clean body proposes low profile pale cereals, overall rather lean as far as body is concerned. The beer is generously hoppy but there is nothing incisive here, the hops feel fruity-juicy and clean. I got flavors of watermelons, dandelion petals, fresh pineapples, white grapefruits, bubble gum. Ends with a refreshing mild tartness and a bitterness intensity in the low-medium range. For some reason I was left with an overall ‘lager’ sensation about the whole thing (mouthfeel, smoothness, low in fruity esters), like one those new breed of American hoppy lagers. Not super-exciting, malts could have used more definition, but the beer is very refreshing even if a little ‘too clean’. I liked it. And now after many many years of drinking craft beer in pubs I’ve concluded that sitting at a bar with a notepad and writing notes about the beers I drink can appear really pathetic to some people, but not to all people, only to normal people.
Draught. Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a moderate white head. Nose is very hoppy with a lot of floral elements to it. Taste, though, is only very slightly bitter; nowhere near as strong as the nose would suggest. Very smooth and easy to drink. I like it. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Tap @ The BeerMongers... Poured clear amber orange with a thick forming, fizzy head. Super quaffable with loads of flavor. Danky, pine-like resinous hops with a mild mouthfeel and malt sweetness to balance. Strong citrus with some honeydew melon notes along with a smooth malted grain tone to help the finish. Really digging this one. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - APR 16, 2013
Tap at Milltown. Lighly hazy yellow straw pour with think foamy white head. Nose is citrus, florals, lots of grass, light cannabis. Flavor is nicely balanced, on the bitter side of things, again very grassy with citrus zest. Wow, can’t believe this is 3.6%. Pretty amazing body and balance if that is indeed true. Perfect lunch beer and another impressive pale ale from Lagunitas. They should replace their regular ipa and Maximus with this and sucks and I would buy a lot more of their stuff.

Sampled on draft at World of Beer in Naperville. Rating from notes. Pours a nice orangish color with a small white head. Bright aroma of hoppy goodness, lots of pine and citrus, some resin. Flavor is light, but hoppy, rich waves of delicious hop bitterness balanced by a mild malt sweetness. It’s clear the focus is on the hops here. Nice, light bodied with lots of carbonation. Finishes hoppy. Interesting beer. JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUN 6, 2013
On tap at Tyler’s, Durham, with ucusty. These guys know what they’re doing with all things pale and hoppy, and it’s nice to get a crack at this session brew. Ranks up there with the recent Drake’s offering. Pale gold, well carbonated, with a light cloudiness in there for an earthy look. Grassy and modestly fruity in the nose, hints of a spicy finish. Light and playful mouthfeel, and indeed there’s nice bitterness in the finish. Balanced and bright throughout, very enjoyable.
