Draft. Pours deep black. Palate is creamy and full the taste is coffee and sweet rye. Not much Barrel however the coffee and chocolate mixes very well with barrel Thisis12ptfont (1214) - Los Angeles, CA, California, USA - SEP 16, 2017
Aromas of massive bourbon, aged malts, coffee rinds, coffee beans, dark malts, smoked charcoal, cocoa powder, dark chocolate, dark wort syrup, tree bark, burnt licorice, roasted barley, cigar smoke, campfire ash, burnt molasses, barrel wood and oak. Pours pitch black with a very thin mocha head and faint alcohol legs. Taste brings sharp dark chocolate, raw cacao, bitter coffee, roasted coffee beans, black licorice, dark roasted malts, thick malt oils and figs upfront. Immediately thereafter, immense bourbon, barrel wood, oak, aged dark malts, ashy malts, earth, mud, toasted caramel, vanilla and corn syrup assault the palate. Finishes very boozy with heavy residual coffee oils, bourbon, chocolate, oak, aged dark malts and a motor oil thickness. Overall, this is one massive bourbon stout boasting heavy and dark flavors with no remorse. I highly suggest seeking it out. Hands down the best Lagunitas beer. rumproasts (5544) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 1, 2017
Tap at Logan's. Thick and black with small head. Rich malty body. Lightly sweet. Dark chocolate, coffee, light bourbon. Fairly smooth, especially for the abv. Mild booze. Klimaet (2951) - Aarhus N, DENMARK - AUG 19, 2017

Draft at beer basement. Aroma of rich thick bourbon vanilla, chocolate, caramelised malt, coffee and red fruit. Taste is a real beast, with lucious whiskey vanilla, smooth coffee, milk chocolate, cherry, caramelised malt and an endless finish. Very good, on par with bcbs coffee.

Poured from the tap. Black with light tan head. Thick chocolate with coffee and mild whiskey, subtle vanilla and wood. Alcohol is present, but mild. mariuspoenari (2954) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUL 20, 2017
35cl bottle. Very dark brown pour with a thin tan head that disappears in an instant. Visible carbonation rising to the surface. huge whiskey notes up front, followed by some intense brewed coffee as well as roasted coffee notes, quite a bit of oak, vanilla, roast, light toaste coconut, burnt caramel and cherry bitterness. A great barrel-aged stout with a nice mix of coffee and whiskey notes, though the base stout notes are a bit too subtle (could do with a bit more roast and body). dwyerpg (6365) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUN 22, 2017
What a delicious beer. Perhaps underrated, if that’s possible. The coffee is subtle, smooth and tasty. Just a stellar and almost sessionable imperial stout! Ericular (1035) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 18, 2017
Not quite what the hype would have you believe, but it’s the best Heineken I’ve ever had. Beachmaster (578) - Oklahoma, USA - APR 29, 2017
On draught. Pours black, with a medium mocha head that persists, leaving good lacing. Nose is coffee and bourbon. Taste follows.
Nice coffee flavor with a boozy bourbon finish. Good.
