Pours a mostly clear reddish copper with a medium sized long lasting off white head and some spotty lace. Aroma is malty, caramel, citrus, earthy. Flavour is malty, caramel, medium bitterness, citrus, earthy, moderate sweetness, faint alcohol, and a somewhat dry finish. Good balance, not astringent and good malty Flavour! Pours a deep amber with a frothy white head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, pine, grapefruit and some sweet brown sugar to round it out. Big malty body of caramel and brown sugar balanced nicely with piney, citrusy hops with a smooth slick bitterness... I could drink these all summer. Dorkenstein (563) - - JUN 30, 2015
Aroma is of caramel malts, bubblegum, peach, mango, pineapple, and booze. Taste is caramel, cola, toffee, then a hoppy bite with some pineapple and booze. Slipstream (2663) - USA - JUN 25, 2015
Amber pour with a big, active head. This is an astringent and very hoppy red/amber ale, with some lager flavor. At first this is almost like a random blend one might together from a few open bottles at a beer tasting, but the flavor did grow on me. The aroma is lightly funky and sweet. It is Interesting on the palate, with notes of chili and wintergreen. This was not love at first taste, but it is a good brew. matty (438) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 19, 2015
25 oz. bottle. Pours a clear reddish-amber color with a thin, brief tan head. Heavy aroma of malt, caramel & hops. Medium-full body, taste is a good balance of malt and hops, a little sticky mouthfeel. The caramel stays with me on the swallow. Pretty good.
