COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Special Ale is, in reality, a reconstructed exhumation of the very first ale that we ever brewed way, way back, in 1993. Brewed with a big head, a muscular malty thorax, a silky texture & all strung together with a hoppy sweet nerve sack... yum.

Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 29, 2008
12 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse. Ruby red pour with a small off-white head that fades quickly to a ring around the glass. Big hops in the aroma. Very big. Resin, citrus, pine. Some earthy malts in the background. Taste is brown sugar, caramel, cassis and nuts with some lemon-citrus hops. Full bodied, smooth, with alcohol very subtle. A winner from Lagunitas!

650ml bottle. Ceremonial 7001 rating. Red amber color, huge head, beaut lacing. Lagunitas ale yeast, breadiness, caramel, citrus nad dank hops in the smell. Flavor is prickly and acidic, high alpha hops that leave a medium bitterness. Lots of toasted grain, some resin. Very nicely done. Would work much nicer in thier lineup as opposed to maximus.

Christian (13814) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 14, 2008
Beautiful dark copper colour with a tan head leaving som lace. Sweet American hop aroma, mostly on the peach and pine side. There is a hint of a sweet malty amber ale flavour, but soon enough it hits you in the head with a wonderful big and bitter hop flavour! Pine and peach all over the mouth and with a bitter grapefruit aftertaste. Yummy!

bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 24, 2006
(22oz. Bottle) Pours a deep amber body with a large lasting beige head. Aroma of caramel, fresh baked bread, and citrus (orange, grapefruit). The flavor has a god malt base with fresh hops combined with a sweet caramel and citrus finish. This blends nicely to a soft, silky smooth dessert in a glass. An excellent beer!
