12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small creamy off white head that leaves good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a sweet fruity malt with pine and light hops. Tap at Lagunitas. It pours clear orangey-amber, with a small white head. The nose is spice, leather, pine, wood varnish and leaf. The taste is pine, resin, hay, grass, leaf, spice, fruitiness and wood polish, with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent, but not great. Bottle, 7.6%. Sweet caramelly hoppiness in aroma. Clear red copper colour, small white head. Caramelly tea flavour with a good sweetness and a little pepper. Aftertaste is slightly rough, but does well to cleanse palate. bhensonb (15958) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 10, 2006
Citrus and malt aroma. Deep reddish amber color. Creamy hoppy taste, finishing with a rough bitter character. Must be a lot of malt to have some lingering sweetness side by side with the bitterness. Bittersweet. Works for me. The hops linger on the tongue, and the light citrus persists. A touch of astringency. Good stuff. Ratman197 (15604) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - AUG 15, 2006
Bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, orange, bread and a hint of wet cardboard. Palate was medium bodied. Flavors of bread, carmel, light citrus and earthiness with a lingering bitter finish.
