Big bodied, strong, a very good stout. Poured heavy inside of a tulip glass, black body, an appealing malty brown head that hangs around. Smells of roasted pecans. First taste is a kick. Dark chocolate, berry, followed by toffee. Malty, scorched toast. Stays with a full, broad palate. A hint of alcohol throughout. 22 oz. bomber means one and done. Save the second bottle for another time. Yowzah Lagunitas. Good job. thedm (6320) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 20, 2016
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy finely sized dark brown colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque except at the edges black brown colored body and a poor lacing. The nice aroma was dark malt. The thick mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering mild roasted malt aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of roasted malt and brown malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again. cards04 (2943) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 10, 2016
A tasty imperial stout. Pours black. Aromas of dark malts, sour cherries, cocoa powder. Flavours are cocoa powder, a bit of tang, dark malts. northropfrye (3731) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 5, 2016
Dark black body, brown head, some lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa, and like a sharp acidic booze. Rubbing alcohol and strawberries. Taste is fairly rich cocoa, dried fruit, dry finish, lactose. Not the best imperial stout. Has a few odd elements to it. But over all, tasty and worth drinking. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 5, 2016
Pours an opaque dark brown color with khaki colored head. Chocolate, dark chocolate, earth tones, and some roasty notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Full bodied and thick. Finishes with cocoa and roast.

This stout pours a light mahogany into the glass. A lush and dense whip cream like head of dark tan foam sits invitingly on top of a black colored appearance. The aromas bursts with rich caramel and chocolate malt. Some medium roast coffee enveloped within. On the taste there are sweet caramel and cocoa notes. The smooth creamy mouthfeel and chewy full body give it that dessert like character. The sweet malts are rounded out by a light coffee roast in the finish.

A classic light tan head on a near black body. Nose is pretty standard with semi-sweet chocolate and coffee with a slightly vegetal edge. Lots of what you want in an IS. A solid coffee, chocolate, caramel combo leads the profile with some dark berries, well roasted malt and ash mixed in. No excess booziness. A solid quality low price classic. Chocolate coffee roasted malt. Slight sweet malty with a dry bitter hop finish. Nice malt base and nice balance. Solid imperial stout.

22oz bottle pours a dark brown color with a bit of head. Chocolatey without much sweetness. Good amount of hops.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2016 Pours nearly black with no head to speak of. Has a bit of an almost meaty, smoky aroma. Flavor is rich toasted malt, with hints of burnt toast and a bit of underlying sweetness. Solid dry finish. Doesn’t taste the boozy 9.9% it is. Not great but pretty good. Updated 12/31/2016. Less smoke in this bottle. Pretty tasty, really.
