It pours a somewhat hazy gold with a large white long lasting head. It has the aroma of tropical fruit, mango, tangerine, pine & grapefruit. It has a nice bitterness to it and tastes of pine, grapefruit, resin, citrus & flowers. This is a classic west coast IPA. I greatly enjoyed drinking this and highly recommend it. cervmagpt (950) - PORTUGAL - FEB 5, 2018

The definition of a west coast IPA, Lagunitas IPA features crisp citrus and pine hop character layered atop a light pale malt backbone. The hops are juicy and in your fade. A nice wash of carbonation brings the hop spice to a crescendo in the finish. Pours pretty light copper with a healthy white head, and ample lacing. UPDATED: JAN 28, 2018 Don’t let the simple label fool you. This is a great little beer. Aroma is a little floral and fruity and the taste is just over the reserved line. A light pour with a clean taste that allows for several follow-ups.
The flavour is well balanced between hops and malt and stays consistent for about 2/3 the glass and then it’s a sweeter finish.
Easy to enjoy!

From January 2011.
I bought a six pack and brought it home before I looked at the bottles...loaded with floaties. Checking on the Julian date, I see it was bottled June 10. Oh well.
It has a nice honey gold colour with a minimal head of foam and very little lacing. I'm keeping the floaties in the bottle...
Big lemon citrus notes with some biscuit notes in the smell.
Ditto for the taste only here it doesn't show much balance and the hop flavour seems harsh to me. It's rather thin bodied, lowish with the carbonation, and isn't all that drinkable.
As is, it doesn't impress me but if I come across fresher samples, I'll give it another go and see if a change in my review is needed. Blastomorpha (175) - - JAN 14, 2018
Pours clear golden yellow with two fingers thick white head.
Malty sweet and slightly citrus aroma, balanced bittersweet taste, nice mouthfeel.
Simple and effective IPA. piwnysnoob (22) - Torun, POLAND - JAN 11, 2018
