43 different hops? 65 various malts? Wow. Pours deep orange with white head, aroma is sweet citrus and piny with a resiny quality. Taste up front is nice and piny up front, leading into a nice balanced caramel malt profile that finishes nice and bitter. Great session IPA, whatever that 43 hop combination was worked! 22oz. Pours a very clear medium golden color, white head with light retention, some decent lacing on the glass. The aroma is very sweet, reminiscent of a fruit I can’t quite put my finger on, then of course a light hop aroma to accompany. Has a dominant hop flavor, medium-mild bitterness, a good amount of malty sweetness. Medium carbonation, slightly thin body with a slick texture. sepia5 (237) - Connecticut, USA - APR 4, 2010
A solid enough IPA that pours a pale yellow--about the color of straw or a pilsner--and creates a thin white head. Piny, dry hops predominate. An easy drinking IPA that is pretty straight-forward, but not too interesting. There’s a place in the world for beers like this, but I’ll pretty much stick with the Hop Stoopid when drinking Lagunitas IPA. chrisbcano (22) - Houston, Colorado, USA - MAR 30, 2010
good solid smell, citrusy. excellent amber color, very good looking beer. strong taste with a pleasant finish. sweeter than i expected. definitiely a go-to ipa. Savvy1982 (1706) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 29, 2010
Bottle. Pours medium gold/amber with a medium white head that laces very well. Nose is quite well put together, bright fruit, great overt pine, and tremendous balance between the two. The word that keeps coming to mind with this beer is ’lush’, big juicy fruit, rich malty palate, great balance, I went in not expecting much but I was quite surprised, and very pleasantly so!

Pours an amber like color. Pleasant citrus aroma. Slight grapefruit and apricot flavor with a dry and hoppy finish. l1br4r14n (451) - Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA - MAR 26, 2010
Pours light amber with a white head. Huge aroma and flavors of grapefruit, citrus, hops. jeremytoni (3085) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - MAR 24, 2010
From a bottle poured an amber color with a fair amount of head. Nice strong piney citrusy hoppy flavor with a lingering finish. JW32Hoops (70) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAR 21, 2010
Lagunitas IPA is a tough call for me. I’ve had it in the form of a sixer and loved it and had it on tap at the High Dive and have been kinda "ehh" about it. Nose is sweet, floral and fruity, pours an amberish copper. Gonna give this thing another couple tries fromm diff sources and increase/decrease my rating accordingly. A decent go-to IPA regardless. coldbrewky (1731) - Hippetown East, New York, USA - MAR 21, 2010
Draft a the seafood joint in the Kingston Rondout with dinner last night. Pine and grapefruit nose. Thin spiral of carbonation yields a thinner version of the same in the Guinness glass. A vibrant amber that is sparkling ans transparent. Pine and grapefruit absolutely dominate.
