UPDATED: SEP 27, 2008 Bottled at Ørsted Ølbar, Copenhagen. Clear amber, small head. Aroma of grapefruit. Lots of caramelly malt, more so than hops. Above medium bodied with good levels of bitterness. TOSG55 (223) - Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 17, 2008
Bottle. Pours a clear orange, with a two-finger head. Aroma of citrus hops and a bit of malt. The flavor is assertively hoppy, though well-balanced with malts. Bready aftertaste, and very bitter. Solid, but there are many better IPAs out there. Russo (2011) - Hemhofen, GERMANY - AUG 13, 2008

tavern. Dark red color, beige head, aroma is hoppy, roasted malt and caramel, flavor is refreshing and some note of hop and fruit. Mouthdeel is bitter.
This is a huge hop beer. Almost over the top. The nose seems to be mostly Cascades with some other hops rounding it out. The flavor is big hoppy, but there is some maltiness to help balance it out. I’m not sure if I could drink more than one of these at a time due to the hoppiness. blipp (9502) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 9, 2008
Bottle. Pours copper orange with a beige head. Sweet aroma of caramel and apricot, as well as grass and pine. Flavor is also sweet with grapefruit, caramel, and grass. Finish is long and bitter.

Small disappearing head. Aroma of hops and citrus. Nice flavor. More mild then what I was expecting. Hop bite lingers a bit on the tongue. Balanced with caramel and malt. Good brew. Very drinkable. hiphop (84) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 4, 2008
Huge head. This is quite a fruity IPA, from the aroma of citrus and berries, to the strawberry color, to the abundant flavors of strawberries, cherries - quite unique and odd to the style - moderate hops and a strong, biscuit-like malt backbone for the fruit flavors to play off of Svesse (8683) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - AUG 3, 2008
(Bottle, Ölbaren, Copenhagen, 26 July 2008) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of caramel, orange and toasted grain. Malty, fruity taste with grain, caramel, orange and citrussy hops in a balanced finish. Nicely balanced IPA. Good beer. Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 2, 2008
On tap everywhere--An old standby--Poured a copper amber body with a medium white head. Dank, citrus hops and a hardly malty spine. Well-built brew. Taverner (1100) - San Ramon, California, USA - AUG 2, 2008
Overall a VERY good IPA. I can’t believe I never rated this. Copper with white head, but this is the perfect half-way mark between the dank, skunky IPA’s that are Blind Pig and Maximus, and the light, refreshing IPA’s that are Anderson Valley and Two Hearted. It also has that bright yeast flavor that adds to the IPA if done right.
