A hazy golden ale with a thin lacing white head. A classy c-hops aroma with mandarin pulp^and grapefruit. In mouth, a sweet doughy malt with c-hops, grapefruits, medium bodied. A good IPA. Tasted Nov. 21 2008. BrotherGrendel (787) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 9, 2009
A- Pours a very clear light orange with 2 fingers of white frothy head, thin lacing sticks to the glass
S- Very nice IPA/DIPA dominated by citrus and pine hoppiness that is balanced and not overwhelming, some biscuity/bread malts in the background, underlying pepper tones
T- Initial taste sensation is again bitter grapefruit hops that soon give way to smooth sweet bread malts, long aftertaste is bitter and dry with modest alcohol presence
M- Medium-bodied, smooth, balanced, thick texture coats the tongue, adequate carbonation
D- I would peg this somewhere between an IPA and DIPA in terms of drinkability, definitely not a "hop bomb" (which helps improve continued drinking), but this is a very nice 1.5 IPA which I think is a standout from the always solid Lagunitas scene SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - FEB 8, 2009
In the bomber bottle. Pours a clear but dark orange gold color with a white head. Flowery hop orange aroma. Nice white lacing. Flavor does not live up to the aroma. Medium palate with a long biter burn to the back of the mouth. Hangs out on the tongue and body slams the finish with all the grapefruit flavors. ndubs360 (114) - portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 6, 2009

Copper color and clear, started with a decent head. Lovely citrusy hoppy smell that arouses and teases the nose. Taste does not disappoint with a pleasant hop bitterness.

Tropical fruits and citrus hops blend nicely in the nose. Clear golden body is topped by a generous white head that recedes fairly quickly to a lasting cover with very nice lacing. Surprising bitterness joins juice-like tropical/citrus fruitiness. Toasted malts are notable especially in the aftertaste. Medium light body is quite dry with strong effervescence. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle. I’ve had this one for quite a while but neglected to note where I picked it up. ansermadide (1526) - Kyle, Texas, USA - JAN 24, 2009
Sample from January 24, 2009 Beer Club meeting. Pale yellow color, nice head (although it seems to last mere seconds)... bubbly lacing. Hoppy aroma - Cascade hops? Citrus flavor, very fruity and floral, almost perfumy. Hoppy, but definitely different. Kudos to Lagunitas for some different brews! Slick, easy going down... Fun! msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - JAN 9, 2009
WTF! I could swear I already rated this beer. Bomber. Pours golden orange with white head. Aroma is hops and tropical fruits with some citrus. Flavor is hoppy with tropical fruits and citrus. Malts provide nice balance. Nice IPA but could do without some of the tropical fruit. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - DEC 17, 2008
Bottle. Pours a golden body with a white head. Big grapefruit hop character with a big malty backbone, caramel grainy sweet. Peaches and a light alcohol warming.
