Blonde version of Lucky 13, released in 2011 and 2012.
From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first brewhouse in the first space to this oasis 13 years on the road; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers- The Noble Brewer of the planets only legal Steam Beer, and Oregons Rebel Brewer from Newport. Thirteen years down the road, we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the heros path ourselves, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to have left our footprints on its path into history, at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specialty breweed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering.

Bottle - Aroma fills the room with cloves, piney hops, orange and a nice malty sweetness. Clear gold with a thick white head. Citrus and a little resin with some caramel in the mix. Mild bitterness that tapers nicely, without any showing of the alcohol.

Appearance was clear gold with creamy diminishing off white 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are sweet malts, fruits of citrus and juices, no alcohol present. Taste are soft sweet malts, floral juices of apricots, grapefruit, lemon, orange with spices. Palate was soft smooth CO2 with meduim body, then lasting citrusy malty finish. A beautiful American Strong or IPA ?

Pint bottle. Pours a hazy gold with modest head. Beautiful lacing. Aroma of hops, pine, bread, florals. Taste is out of this world. Serious hops, but not bitter. The overwhelming floral scents with some citrus, pine, light spices, etc. make the palate on down very worthwhile. Delicate finish with fresh aftertaste. Very very good.

Golden pour, remnants of the head lingers nicely. Aroma of pine and sour fruit, like apricot. Good mouthfeel, sour apricot and bitterness initially that fades to a phenolic alcohol. I like the start, but the ending is rather new for me and Im not sure how much I like it.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle. Pours a mostly clear golden color with a foamy white head that lasts a good long while. Aroma is nice heavy hop notes with citrus and pine with some sweet malt and caramel mixed in. Flavor is very bittersweet that has a moderate duration with notes of sweet malt while the hops are not as present but still there with a slight woody note. Mouthfeel is full with decent carbonation. Overall a solid beer.

Type: 22-oz. bomber Glass: Lagunitas mason jar From: Clems Bottle House and Deli Price: $5.99 Misc.: N/A Poured a caramel orange clear color with two fingers of white head. Nice uneven, foamy lacing all the way down. Decent retention as well. Smelled a refreshing surprise of hops up front. Got very sweet floral hops first. Also pine, citrus, sharp, but light grapefruit, lemon, light lime and orange peel. Basically smelled like a floral IPA. Tasted similar to the smell, which is a good thing. Still reminded me or an IPA more than an American Strong Ale. Got those sweet, sugar floral hops. Nice bitterness on the tongue after. Citrus, lemon, lime, pine, sharp grapefruit. Very good. Light body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. Really liked this beer. I really didnt even know what type it was when I bought it and found out home when I checked Beer Advocate (hiding the rating with my hand of course). Another good beer from Lagunitas.
