22 oz. bomber from Binny’s. Somewhat hazy golden pour with a minimal white head. Aroma of citrus hops, cotton candy, sweet pale malts, some apparent alcohol. Flavor is a hodgepodge of sweet and bitter. Some apparent grapefruit and orange, mild sweetness from the malts. Not much of a punch from the flavor though. Alcohol is pretty apparent. This seems to be a bit thin bodied, and almost slick on the palate. This is just another high gravity brew from Lagunitas that isn’t bad but isn’t great. The price is always right, though. skoisirius (1908) - Earth, Washington, USA - JUN 25, 2011
$2.50 for a 22oz down in Medford. Red brown copper pour. Nose is malty, hints of plummy fruit, and a slight poke at citrus. Flavor is surprisingly pineapple, which I thought was great! Fairly sweet and malty, thicker body, honey, caramel, and not much of a hop note. Pretty wet beer. I really enjoyed it though! Stoked to see the Lagunitas guys getting weird! Clear copper color. Nice bitterness followed by a nice subtle maltiness. The alcohol is well hidden. A very nice beer. 944play (429) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 21, 2011
Draft at Toad in the Hole. Clear gold, small white head and slight lace. Typical Lagunitas nose of berries, grass, and flamboyant citrus. Might as well be Maximus but for some drier, toastier notes and some stonefruity Amarillo. That’s about it, really -- another flavorful gigantor Lagunitas ale offering. dumontn (530) - St. Joseph, Michigan, USA - JUN 19, 2011
This 2011 alternative version is an Imperial Blonde Ale, the guy from Binny’s told me. 22oz bottles pours a clear amberish gold with a 1 finger white head. Aroma is resinous, floral hops and a sweet honeyed caramel malt background. Taste is pure hops with a hint of honey. This bottle is freshy FRESH. Body is medium heavy with average carbonation and a dry finish. Good stuff, altough I’ve never had the original version of this.

Light and sweet floral aroma. Beautiful, clear orangish color with a light lacy head. Starts sweet followed by a moderate bitterness and finishes with a light fizziness. Flavors of honey, sugar, bread, and piny hops. A very nice sweet sipper from Lagunitas.
