Small white head that disappears quickly. Clear light golden liquid. Hops and caramel in the nose. Rich and thick mouthfeel. Fruity hoppy taste. Leighton (21089) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 9, 2013
Bottle at ChrisO Holiday Tasting, London - thanks to Henrik! Pours clear gold with a fine, white foam head. Lots of caramel and juicy pine on the nose. Medium to big sweet flavor, big bready malts, caramel, ripe orange, pine. Medium to full in body with average carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish with toasty caramel, further pine, toasty grass, some berries, ripe citrus. Very tasty, very drinkable. Another good one from the Petaluma boys. ansjelaah (1748) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JAN 3, 2013

Bottle at ChrisO tasting, thanks to Henrik, 30/12/12.
Lightly hazed mid golden with a thin white head that dissipates edgeward.
Nose is hops, pine, caramel malts.
Taste follows, bitter pine, grapefruit, caramel malt, touch of biscuit.
Medium bodied with soft carbonation and some hop bitterness in the finish.
Decent stuff. TheHopster (1111) - Netcong, New Jersey, USA - DEC 31, 2012
(bottle) Nice thick foamy head along with persistent white lacing on glass. Understated aroma. Hops dominate flavor with pine and some grapefruit elements. IBU seems higher than 77 at times yet fairly smooth. A hop bomb.

Bottle 22fl.oz. @ Tasting by Benzai [ ZZT V ].
Clear medium amber orange colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, light wood - spruce. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, hoppy, malty, light wood. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.
Bottle: Poured a copper color with a finger off white carbonated head. Aroma was strong leafy malt and hops. Nice strong hops forward that subsides to leave a balanced malt and dry tongue finish. sulawang (1155) - - DEC 18, 2012
pours golden clear copper orange, smallish foamy head, good retention, sticky lacing, lots of active streams. Strong citrus aromas and an IPA hoppy nose. Drinks with a nice fruity 7/10-sweetness, medium-soft bitter orange peel bitterness up front, sharp-soft hops, creamy-light fizz mouthfeel, tangerine, mango, pine, malts, finishing sharp bitttery hoppy. Medium complexity, medium depth, good transitions, good carry, decent drinkability. After many sips this one weighs on the palate. mnmike (1086) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 13, 2012
I tried this actually before ever trying the original Lucky 13. Overall this is a good strong ale.
