Poured a bright, clear copper-orange color. Created a tight and dense 1/2" white head with decent retention and some wispy lacing. Slightly muted but pleasant aromatic notes of feshly cut oranges, grapefruit and pineapple. Smells of pine, biscuits and malts linger in the bcakground. Palate is fairly full and fluffy with a slight oily texture. Taste starts out with a nice citrus peel blast of bitter high alpha acid hops; crisp and lip-smacking. Soon to follow is a smooth tongue coating of subtly sweet caramel candy malt and tropical fruits to balance things out. Finish is slightly dry and bittersweet. Alcohol is faintly perceived in the background. Overall a solid and sessionable DIPA. cathcacr (647) - Oregon, USA - OCT 24, 2007
This one’s ridiculously good, mayhaps the best I2PA I’ve had. Definitely better than the Ruination IPA I had the other night, which is 4.3-4.4 quality. Lagunitas has this hop thing down just about as well as Stone. aarossell (151) - Grandville, Michigan, USA - OCT 22, 2007
My second Lagunitas brew....and again I’m fully impressed. Clean, cereal taste, mostly clear light pale yellow body. Similar to their Kil Ugly Radio IPA....not quite as Hoppy. Full bodied, tasty. greenhorn1 (850) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - OCT 21, 2007
22 oz bottle from bottletrek.com. All I can really say is, "damn good". Pours orange with a creamy head and tons of sticky lacing. Big citrus and floral aroma with a subtle maltiness. Flavor is very similiar, but very well balanced between malt and hops. Lasting bitterness, oily mouthfeel and alcohol is barely detectible. This is a awesome West Coast IIPA. Must be put in your regular rotation. fattibobatti (246) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 21, 2007
liquorloft tallahassee.Very much like there single IPA, spicy hops blended on top of citrus. very nice malt backbone. nose is strong citrus hops and malt. lasting bitter finish but not as bitter as other styles.

Bottle. Sweet malty aroma with no head. The taste is malty with nice sweetness and good citrus hop bitterness. Got MUCH better as it warmed. Very good brew. Thanks to whoever sent me this. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 20, 2007
UPDATED: JUN 29, 2008 Orange-copper with good, creamy off-white head / Pine & citrus nose / Medium body with big fruit balancing big hops, with biting hop finish / Flavors of pine, grapefruit, orange, resin, and lemon, with candied sugar finish. UPDATED: JUL 10, 2009 Orange amber with a good head. Malty caramel & fine hop aroma. Flowery & piney. Very fresh & crisp. Fruity & elegant.
Rerate July 09: Very sweet malty profile. Caramel and bread. Ok hops as well but way too sweet malty. demitriustown (1192) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - OCT 13, 2007
Bomber: Aroma is a nice citrus hop texture, not as much as I expected from a double IPA. With a pine note lingering together makes the actual scent of this brew really well balanced in my opinion. Appearance is a light copper with a foamy white head that has some retention. Taste has got a pungent hop front. Big on hops, not much malt characteristics, with a pine note and fruity undertones, and a real earthy flavor to this brew. Palate is bitter with the hop texture coming through. Overall, It’s OK. It really did not impress or dissuade me at all. It’s kind of just OK, above average, but just OK. DIONYSIS (1) - USA - OCT 13, 2007 does not count
Great color in the glass with nice head retention. Nose is subdued but present. Well balanced between malt and hop. Nice every day I.P.A.
