Orangy in colour, a little hazy. Light orangy head. Hoppy and earthy/grassy in smell. Flavour is sweet, hoppy with a light bitter aftertaste. Simple, smooth and consistent. BREWMUSKCLES (2743) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 3, 2007
UPDATED: AUG 4, 2007 all the good taste and character from their ipa with an added alcohol punch. i suppose the occasion might arise for this one from time to time. afterglow (1047) - Florida, USA - AUG 3, 2007
22oz bottle. Pours a clear copper with a one finger white head that fades and leaves some lacing. Aroma of pine hops, citrus hops, and sweet malt. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium-full resiny mouthfeel with a well balanced bitterness. Not very complex but damn tasty. thedm (6319) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 3, 2007
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a slightly hazy typically carbonated dark orange colored body. The mild aroma was hoppy and floral. The excellent mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish. The thick very yummy flavor contained notes of strong soft hops. A wonderful best in class brew. theisti (4203) - Kansas, USA - AUG 2, 2007
UPDATED: AUG 3, 2007 12 oz. bottle from Gregis. Pour is clear orange amber with a very big, thick off white head. Aroma is pine and citrus hops. Taste is big resinous pine and orange citrus. Very bitter finish. Overall a nice IPA.

Got a bomber from Binny’s. Ended up trying this at a little warmer that what I would like, but I don’t think it will affect my rating. Quite a bit of head, hazy copper color. Full bodied, leaving a slick palate. High malt profile, nice bittering on the back end; no bee-sting nectar but still good. Tons of lacing which caked in rings down the glass. Faint aroma on this. This is good for sipping or slamming, so the drinkability is high on this. High alcohol content is not noticable. I actually thought this was their IPA (first offering I’ve tried from these guys.) But it is thier IIPA, they state it’s their IPA upgraded about 30%. Good but not overwhelming. Then I thought why does it have to be big; it’s very smooth, so my criticalness ended up melting away. minch25 (577) - Medford, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 30, 2007
Clear copper orange body, medium creamy beige head. MF- chewy, resiny. A tad restrained in the hops department for the style; grapefruit, pine, soapy/sticky, hardly any sweetness. Short finish. Similar in flavor to Alpha King, but with a more oily texture. Well-rounded and never harsh. Not the most groundbreaking IIPA in the world, but still definitely good and great for the price($9 / 6). Orange colour, firm white head. Aroma: lots of hops and florals. Flavour: bitter, lots of hops and the dryness hits you in the face. skortila (5985) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - JUL 29, 2007
Aroma is very hoppy, mainly the fruity ones, grapefruits. Orange coloured with a lasting, off-white head. Taste is a bit sweet and offcourse quite bitter. Very hoppy, mainly the fruity ones but there is pine and flower as well. Big knock-out this one. Don’t let it be your first beer of the evening. muenster (345) - Sevierville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 27, 2007
Bottle. Pours a nice copper, with a big, shiny, off-white head. Aroma is, of course, tons of hops, grapefruit and pineapple being the most prominent. Flavor is textbook Double IPA, strong maltiness, and aggressive hops of all sorts. This beer, however, manages to be noticeably aggressive, and suitable for rapid consumption simultaneously.
