At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!
IBU: 72.41

Nice copper pour with a half-finger head that leaves an ok lace throughout. The hop aroma is apparent as well as well as some candyish sweetness. The taste is a pretty nice citrus hoppiness with a sticky malt sweetness. The hop flavor is pretty basic not a whole lot of depth and/or variation. The mouthfeel is sticky and a little slick. I really cant stand a slick on my pallet. The slickness detracts from any potential for crispness and "refreshing or quenching" attributes. Overall this is a good flavored and bodied brew with a slick mouthfeel.

Poured from the bottle. Clear brilliant orange, with medium off white head. Pleasant balanced aroma of hops - citrus, pine, pineapple - and caramel malted notes. Flavour really nice and balanced, tropical fruits and pine, with roasted sugar sweetness from the malt. Medium body, creamy smooth, but doesnt linger. Bitterness is a slowly building one, and clean, that compliments the sweetness and alcohol so well that it becomes dangerously crushable at 8.2%.

Bottle, 355 ml from Beergium. Shared with JFK10000. Pours clear orange with medium off-white head. Hoppy, citrus, grassy, malty, sweet, moderate bitterness in finish. Medium bodied. Guess not the freshest one since I expected more hops.

Weak smell. Very floral, funky and earthy aromas. Throat lozenge. Doughy. Very nice hazy gold colour, lots of bubbles. Well balanced high bitterness with some sweetness. Thick mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Dad likes it.

12 oz, bottle. Pours a hazy deep golden color with an off-white head. The aroma is dominated by West Coast hops. The flavor is as well with a perceptible hop bitterness and lots of hop oil. The malt body is thick and tastes like crystal/caramel malts. I am not a fan of American IPAs, but I think that this is a very good one and those who do like this style will not be disappointed. It also delivers quite a kick at 8.2% ABV. The label lists the IBUs at 72.41 which is way too exact. I have worked in the laboratory of a major brewery and can tell you that to keep the IBUs to 72 is hard enough much less getting it exactly to two decimals.

650 ml bottle Clear light Amber color. Bright White head that falls to a collar. Nose is orange marmalade, citrus, tropical fruits and Honey. Bright and aggressive nose. Taste is pretty similar. Orange marmalade, citrus, tropical fruits and honey. Aggressively hopped. Feels bigger than 8.2%. slick and oily body but a bit sweet that lingers a bit too long

Bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear deep gold colour with one finger of soapy white head. Aromas of pine, herbs, and citrus. Taste matches the aroma. Citrus in the front with some bread note that leads to a surprisingly malty finish and well balanced hoppy after-taste. Medium bodies with moderate carbonation.

Poured in a Snifter glass, frothy almost 3-finger head. Clear, amber coloured. Aroma is marmelade, honey and citrus. Taste follows the aroma pretty hard and fills the mouth with fruity honey sweetness and some lingering bitterness. Like its little brother, it sticks to the palate for a long time which is really nice. Good DIPA!

Orange blond body with white two finger head. The aromas are citrus, hops.I couldnt smell much that particular day. The taste is quite bitter but there is a malt backbone that stands next to it and compliments the bitterness.

Pours dark gold, clear, shoRt lasting off white head. Aroma is grapefruit, tropical fruit, grass, hay. Taste is more resiny, dank, grapefruit pith, strong bitterness barely covering the alcohol. Sweetness more evident as it warms. Medium mouthfeel, alcohol, bitternees, and citrus on the finish.
