COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

12 oz. bottle poured into tulip glass. Appearance is a slightly hazy golden-orange with moderate off-white head which dissipates pretty quickly. Aroma is a lot of citrus, especially grapefruit and orange. There is also a slight whiff of malt. The taste is a good balance of hops and malt. There is a citrus flavor which reminds me of grapefruit rind. Smooth, crisp feel without being too light. Another solid Lagunitas beer.

Copenhagen 25/7 2017. 35,5 cl bottle from Meny. Just says "Maximus" on the label with Hops slowly entangling the corners on the label. Pours clear golden copper yellow with white head. Head settles as 1,5 cm thick layer of foam. Moderate lacing. Aroma is rich and strong. Sweet exotic fruit with a sweet boozy fermented touch. More subdued citric notes. Almost sugary intensity. Soft carbonation and sluggish palate. Flavor is fairly sweet but balanced by distinct bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with semi dry finish. There is no boozy or metallic alcohol here - but none the less you are not in doubt that this beer has a healthy ABV.

Nonshaugen (613) - Fetsund, NORWAY - JUL 17, 2017
355 ml bottle. Clear, dark golden amber, medium off-white head, low carbonation. Aroma is malty with tropical hop notes. Mouthfeel is very hoppy and bitter, medium body. Taste is "dark", tropical and hoppy. Nice balance between sweetness and bitterness.

One of my favorite IPAs- deep rich taste - with hints of yummy - takes normal Lagunitas citrus notes and goes BOOM! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bärnstensfärgad med fint vitt skum. Doftar fräscht av citrus och lite tallkåda. Smaken fyllig och besk. Eftersmaken lång och humlig (efter 3 snapsar).

Here we have another old Lagunitas favorite. It pours a nice thick dark amber and has a pungent citrus and resin nose. The taste is a bitter, citrusy, piney hop bombast with a long finish and an effervescent mouthfeel that would seem unlikely for this ABV and type of beer. Good for capping off a glorious free Monday night 35mm screening of the movie Air Force One for its 20th anniversary with your cutie butt.

MaltOne (371) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 10, 2017
Solid Imperial IPA. Pours light, clear copper with a brief, froth y white head; lots of residual lacing. Aroma caramel malt and tropical fruit. Taste starts lightly sweet from the big malt base, Hops starts tropical fruit, finishes pine resin. Palate features the big malt structure, taking a moment for the resin hops to emerge at the finish - a nice dance of sweet and bitter in the finish. Overall, a substantial and straightforward imperial.

Nice looking beer. Aroma: caramel, pineapple and faint floral notes. Taste: fruity (grapefruit and mango) and caramel. Followed by nice pine resin and tingling notes of pineapple and herbs. Balanced. One of the better beers I have had lately.
