COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Definatly one of the better IPAs i have had in awhile. Very well crafted brew that should please most hop heads.

Clear amber pour with a thick creamy off-white head. Aroma of pine and citrus with some bread. Citrus flavor upfront with some pine caramel, and bread. Superb lacing. Very nice.

Fantastisk IPA, en dejlig rund smag, hvor man overhovedet kan smage alkoholen p 8,2 %

Pours super clear gold with a finger of head that lasts forever. Lots of hop aroma. Floral, pine. Clean bitterness that doesnt linger. Very low malt flavor or sweetness perceived with the bitterness. Hop flavor is consistent with aroma. This is not something Id reach for often but is pretty good.

Bottle. Pours clear dark amber with large foamy off-white head, very faint citrus aroma, low carbonation, initially sweet taste followed by medium hoppy bitterness, thin body, long sticky sweet finish with residual bitterness. A bit too sweet.

Lagunitas Brewing is a favorite and I thought Maximus IPA was worth a try. Prescient thinking. My gosh, is this good. The 12 oz. bottle pours a dark gold with a thinnish head that does lace nicely nonetheless. The nose is of pine needles and blue sky. Just kidding on the last one. But the sky is the limit. Opening taste is lemon and orange with a close follow of sweetness. Involved. Aggressive without being over the top. Hoppy certainly and finishes with a rewarding bitter bite. Very nice.

Poured from the bottle. Clear brilliant orange, with medium off white head. Pleasant balanced aroma of hops - citrus, pine, pineapple - and caramel malted notes. Flavour really nice and balanced, tropical fruits and pine, with roasted sugar sweetness from the malt. Medium body, creamy smooth, but doesnt linger. Bitterness is a slowly building one, and clean, that compliments the sweetness and alcohol so well that it becomes dangerously crushable at 8.2%.

Bottle, 355 ml from Beergium. Shared with JFK10000. Pours clear orange with medium off-white head. Hoppy, citrus, grassy, malty, sweet, moderate bitterness in finish. Medium bodied. Guess not the freshest one since I expected more hops.

Weak smell. Very floral, funky and earthy aromas. Throat lozenge. Doughy. Very nice hazy gold colour, lots of bubbles. Well balanced high bitterness with some sweetness. Thick mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Dad likes it.
