COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

A solid pale ale with a bright taste of hops and a hint of sourness. A lovely light brown pour with a honey yellow tint. I get the feeling I’ve tasted this type of beer from Lagunitas before, without much variation. Still an interesting beer though, and worth trying.

So this beer’s been around a while. And I see its from Lag so it will probably be over the top. Oh my, big dull hop olfactory blasting perfume. Looks like pale lager in many ways. You will not notice the carbonation but fortunately its there; mostly mouth coating resin. Strong peircing taste bud blast, grade across the surface of my tongue with a disc plow. Certainly in IPA territory fer sure buddy. Crude rude and shivering prude. Finish is long medical astringent wipe. On style for an IPA!

Bottled. Poured a light golden color with minimal head. Nose is citrusy, floral, little bit of pine. Initial taste is hoppy, with a bitter earthy finish. thin texture. Overall a very pleasant beer.

Clear and pale golden color. Hints of grape, melon, hops in aroma. Malt, fruit and a nice bitterness in flavor. Really enjoyed this whilst watching Felix Baumgartner's world record in free-fall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle (Systembolaget, Stockholm)
Pleasant fruity hop aroma, a little bitterness too, and some biscuity malts. Simple palate, a little watery, but smooth from sugars too. Simple biscuity malts, caramelly and fleshy fruits like melon and peach. Nice hoppy bitter bite, a little grapefruity, and with quite a long bitter tingle. Even though the biscuity malts are quite sweet, this is fairly well attenuated, and the stickiness is as much from the resins of the hops as from sugars. Easily drinkable, and leaves you wanting more. Doesn’t say 6.2% at all. Possibly one of the better APAs that I’ve had.
