This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

fiercepanda (615) - Missouri, USA - JUN 2, 2012
A clear orange beer with little head. The aroma has lots of good citrus and piney hops. The flavor is is citrusy with a strong floral finish. It also tastes like a higher ABV than it is.

ExpendableHero (925) - Florida, USA - MAY 20, 2012
Hazy golden brew with a thin, white head. Strong aromas of floral hops, and some grapefruit. Tastes of heavy handed floral hops, some citrus peel, freshly mowed grass, and just a hint of sweet malts. Bittersweet, floral finish. Very crisp, and quite refreshing. Lagunitas constantly delivers solid beers.

12 oz bottle. Clear brassy orange with white froth. Nose is grass, pine, toffee and earth. Crisp medium body with a clean peppery finish. Taste is orange peel, pine and lime with hints of caramel. Good for a few.

smm (20) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 15, 2012
A bright clear yellow, with a pungent citrusy nose. A touch of sweet marmalade, and a bit of booze. Follows with a sweet rich orange flavor with a sharp hop presence. A fair body for an APA, not surprising at 6.2%. Floral hop finish, with a lingering twinge from the carbonation.

Pours clear golden color with minimal head. Aroma of hoppy fruits, hay, clove, mild toffee notes and some honey hints. Flavor of fruits, sweetish malts, biscuit notes and mild lemon. NIce aroma but the taste is a bit boring.

micronaut129 (241) - chalfontborotowntonbergville, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 11, 2012
One of the best pale ale out there, could sub for an IPA for fair weather drinkers. Beautiful golden orange color with a small white head leaving a good amount of lacing. Aroma is very fragrant with floral and pine notes. Flavor is similar to nose with a big, bold and brash taste. A bitter sweet finish, literally. A good west coast pale.

anders8000 (390) - aarhus.c., DENMARK - MAY 6, 2012
Pours a nice golden brown with little head that dissipates. Smells of citrus and pine, and has the same hoppy taste. One of the best pale ales on the market
