COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

MaltOne (371) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 14, 2013
Pours yellow gold, brief but ample white head. Nose is citrus and pine, with a hint of earthiness. Taste is noteable for its immediate presence, not overpowering, not harsh, but from the instant it hits the tongue, the fun begins. As it plays on the tongue it goes through a variety of tastes. It has a touch farmhouse ale, both in the aroma and the taste. Nice balance, good mouthfeel for a pale ale, medium body, long finish. It evolves over time in the glass. Overall, it’s hard for me to pin down why, but it is a substantial beer, with a subtle but complex character.

Clear gold with a big pillowy head. Not much aroma. Taste is beer. Really don’t know how to rate this when there are no distinguishing characteristics at all. I give it a 7/10.

nogva (82) - NORWAY - JUN 3, 2017
Pours clear golden with a modest head that quickly fades to a thin layer. Aroma is malty with citrus and some hops. Medium body, slick feel, average carbonation. Taste of grass, pine and hop resin with a bitter and quite dry finish. Maybe I just have a stuffy nose, but I’m missing some balance and fruityness(?).
