bomber, Black pour with a thick off-white head. Great lacing. Aroma is citrus and pine malts. Tastes of cereal, coffee, rye, spices, definitely well balanced. Some roasted malt and hoppy feeling. Great brew!!
Not a bad beer, lagunitas makes a decent beer. Would probably buy again; but not full case.

On tap at Das Biergarten. Black with a big creamy head. Smells of grapefruit and some roasty malt. Tastes of grapefruit, pine, chocolate, and roasted malt, in that order. Some sweet caramel and chocolate malts. Bitter back end. Lots of bitterness, really. Medium heavy. Good, but a little sweet. blutt59 (6624) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 19, 2018

8.2% version with 65 IBU. Smooth mild deep beginning. Caramel, roast, lots of floral piney hops. Hints of an aroma that might be polaris, refreshing and deep. Roast, floral hops, deep with a dry caramelly roasted body. Long intense aftertaste, round and fantastic deep. Long dry malty roasted caramel aroma on the tongue with a nice floral bitterness. Very nice! rosskyle (808) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 5, 2018

Reminds me of Shakespeare Stout, which i haven't had in over a decade I suppose. Mild roast, bright citrusy hops, medium mouthfeel, semi-sweet at finish with a moderate bitterness. Dark, essentially opaque. kingaugusta (307) - Georgia, USA - DEC 19, 2017
