Bottle from systembolaget. Pours a amber dark color almost bronze like. Aroma is sweet with hints of hops and caramel. Pleasant taste that leans to dried fruit and caramel. A velvety finish

olio (9523) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 18, 2015
65 cl bottle @ Olutravintola Konttori.
Pours golden color with a small head. Quite hoppy aroma with sweet caramel malts and ripe fruits, lots of bread and rye, sugary notes too, some faint vegetables. Sweet caramel flavor, again lots of rye bread, mild toffee, some sugary notes, mild hops and sweet ripe fruits. Feels harsh and unbalanced. A great disappointment.

lusikka (7740) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 18, 2015
650 ml bottle @ Konttori, Tampere. Pours a dark amber colour with a small foamy head. Aroma of wet earth, bread, red berries and weird perfume notes. Actually, some mild vinegar notes. Somehow I get an association with cheap ketchup... Flavour of sweet maltiness, harsh bitterness, wood, mild sourness, liquified rye bread and acrid sweetness. Wet paper too. Medium bodied. Maybe a re-rate is needed from a fresh bottle.

TorbenJensen (1468) - Valby, DENMARK - SEP 12, 2015
Very beautiful reddish-brown beer with a dense and compact, not renewable, foam. Deep vinous aroma with a distinct fruit character. Easy bubbly carbonated felt immediately in the mouth before an extremely delicate fruit flavors of cherry, peach and pineapple gives a deep vinous mouth feel. A little heat from the alcohol retains these fruity nuances in a long time. It is incredibly tasty, but is not as heavy as expected for a barley.

650ml bottle @ Tommyknocker. Pours mahogany color with a thin off white head. Malty, bready, dark roasty, plummy aroma. Flavor has sweetness, almonds , dried fruits and some alcohol. Warming alcohol in finish for sure.

Bottle, ty hermod! Red. Deep caarmels, some herby hops, sweet malty nose. Full bodied, red caramels, bitters, light pine foresty hops. Malty, but quite bitter for a barley wine. Good, long.
