Tap at The Pony Bar, NYC. Pours cloudy gold with a tight, pure white cream cap. Aroma is quite lovely, with a very pronounced, forward wheat and yeast character, then some caramel and candi and bread just beyond. Flavor is heavy, with slightly syrupy and strong sweetness, caramel, toasted sugar, wheat, and dough. Full bodied with average to lively carbonation. Fairly warm on the finish, dense sugar, thick and rich bread, wheat and yeast, light grassy bitterness. It’s a pretty hefty beer, and pretty good, too. mcberko (17809) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 24, 2011
22 oz. bottle, pours a completely opaque orange with about a finger’s width of white head. Aroma of orange, banana, clove, toasted nuts, and honeyed malt. Flavour has lots of honey, banana, orange, clove, spicy yeast and floral hops. This sure is enjoyable - up there with the best of this style. Really well-made. jtclockwork (16581) - , New Jersey, USA - JUL 30, 2013

Bomber from the Roseville BevMo. Pours orange amber with a slight off-white head. Roasty toasty wheat/malt with a bunch of citrus and yeast/spice. And banana, damn it. Not getting identifiable clove tho. Very full bodied. And the clove is quite intense, followed by a lot of slightly over-ripe banana. We got enough of those around our house, I have no doubt. It’s rich malt with clove, banana and some burning bitter - which might be the clove. Just when I wondered whether these guys had lost the magic touch - bam!!!!!!!! Forgive me for doubting. Brilliant ale.
