UPDATED: DEC 22, 2011 Hazy orange with good, creamy, off-white head / Nose of malt, orange, candied banana, coriander, and clove / Full body, moderately sweet and sticky, with very good hop balance and long, lightly bitter, finish / Big, perfumed, flavors of orange, banana, pineapple, violets, resin, sour malt, clove, and coriander / Not usually a fan of weizens, big or not, but this one is a beauty. This is a great drinking beer that I enjoyed very much. A very good go-to-beer when craving a Doppel Weizen. thetmaxx (917) - West Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 17, 2011

Overall a great Belgium from a great brewery!!! paultheguru (644) - Parker, Colorado, USA - OCT 18, 2011
This is right there with Aventinus for me. Clean, malty, crisp, and delicious. Could be the best American weizenbock I have ever had, or the best overall. I like this a lot, shocking style for the brewery, and it was incredible. dwyerpg (6180) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - OCT 20, 2011
Aroma is of bananas and Belgian candy sugar. Very pale for a doppel weizen. This actually finishes quite smooth while still letting you know it has a little something. Really really good.

Weizen bock, really? If I tasted this blind I would ahve sworn it was a Belgian ale. Nice shapr bitter finish with minor alcohol burn, delicious! bsp77 (724) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 23, 2011
Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Weizen glass.
Appearance: Cloudy but bright orange with billowing foamy white head.
Aroma: Massive banana and bubblegum, with some clove, wheat and spicy noble hops.
Taste: Similar to the aroma, with loads of sweet banana and bubblegum, at least at first. Then the hops and clove come in and provide some great balance. Ends with lingering pepper and clove.
Palate: Creamy full body with moderate carbonation. Surprisingly dry finish after the initial sweet onslaught.
Overall: This is a great Weizenbock, and I seriously do not know what is wrong with the reviewers to date. I usually do not like it when Lagunitas steps away from their hoppy comfort zone, but this is incredible.

22 oz bomber. Pours a cloudy golden brown color with a medium size off white head. Aroma of oranges, citrus peel, bubble gum, Belgian yeast cloves and orange marmalade. Taste of orange marmalade, cloves, Belgian yeast, bubble gum and hops. Very good stuff. drpimento (3627) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 22, 2011
Mmmmm gooood beeer. Poured with a nice, small to medium sized cream colored head that settled down to a ring after a few minutes and no lace. Color is a hazy medium amber with some bubble trails. Aroma is lots of banana, malt, yeast, spice. Flavor is similar but yeast bitterness stands out too, kind unbalancing it a bit. Good tang. Body and carbonation are excellent. Finish is like flavor with only a hint of alcohol warming at the very end. Super effort towards a Bavarian Doppel Weizen. GODiSSOUTHERN (390) - Virginia, USA - NOV 5, 2011
Pours a honeyish golden color. Great fruit and spice aroma. Flavor follows through with banana, apple, and clove. Super full bodied and smooth.
