3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
A-sweet malt and raisin. A-dark amber with thin white head. T-very sweet roast and dark fruit. P-sweet forward, followed by burst of carbonation not expected by appearance of head. A nice dry hoppiness at the end. O-not a style of my choice but surprisingly interesting with sweetness to dry finish. Just wanting a little more hop aroma or profile. Enjoy the movement across my palate.
On tap at the brewery. It pours a clear rusty red color with an off white head. The aroma has caramel and vinous fruity wine with some light spicy oak notes. The flavor is a touch spicy with big wine barrel and light tart grapes. A little leather. Nice one.
