On tap: The aroma consists of lemon, must, florals, and light funk. It’s a hazy dull orange with a small white two finger white head. The flavor starts with moderate citrus with some tart tropical fruits. The finish has light-moderate lemon, funk, florals, and oak. It’s light bodied with light carbonation. On tap @ Blind Tiger House. As good as black in the glass. Doesn’t look to thick or viscous really, and the small top is quickly completely gone. Not to extreme on the nose, but I get some clear tones of red wine and wood, lots of acidic red ripe fruits - it actually has a Flemmish touch to it. Nice. Would not identify this as a imp stout at all. Delicious flavors. The vicious wood is so integrated in the roasty flavors. Damn. This is one classy tasting beer. Soft prickling carbonation with a good strong oily mouthfeel. Lots of red berries and wood. Perhaps a little brett tone is also found here. Salty licorice in the finish. Mmhhh.. Small creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish, dark malts, vinegar, grass, sour apples, paint, coffee, burnt caramel, licorice. Taste is grassy sour-ish, dark malts, sorrel, vinegar, burnt caramel, sour apples, oak, sour dark berries, licorice, grass, coffee. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice, but far away from what I expected from this one.

On tap at the Haze. Orange-tan color. Very nice. Mildly bitter citrus, pinot noir and black peppery spiciness. Subtle lemony fruit notes. Displays some alcohol, but also a really smooth malt backbone. Mellow and true to style.

Pours a nice golden color with a good white head. The aroma is heavenly with some great wine notes really mixing well with oak and the underlying saison. I can’t get enough of this. First wine-barrel beer that I’ve had and I’m left wondering why more places aren’t doing a bit more of this type of aging with saisons. Wine, oak, light tannins, and a bit of spice and earth. Feel is really nice with the oak playing well. Drinks really, really well.

On tap at Bailey’s Taproom Third Anniversary Barrel Aged Fest. Pours out a straw topped with a tall white head. Aroma was belg yeast, funk, citrus hops, and spice. Taste was more of the funk, citrus, and a little fruit from the barrel .

Tap at the Blind Tiger. Pours a cloudy deep orange color with ruby highlights and a pillow of head. Sour yeast, spices, funk and citrus comprise the aroma. This beer has a very high carbonation which actually contributed quite well to everything that was going on in the body. Earthy, grassy, yeasty funk, sheer crisp citrus, and strangely tart and acidic for a saison. A long, acidic finish follows finishing out a truly unique interpretation. On tap at The Haze - Pours clear amber with a small white head. Light and fruity on the nose, with passion fruit and white grape most noticeable. Taste is a bit of caramel and passion fruit, with dark chocolate, and a touch of red grape. Pretty smooth and a little syrupy, this was a nice sipper to contemplate.
