Ale Punched with Sake Yeast and Rice This Raging Bull’uva Double-ish IPA is punched with Sake Yeast and Rice, then hopped-up for a cold-clip of counter-balanced bitterness... it just don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing!

UPDATED: APR 17, 2018 Pours a beautiful golden color with a frothy white foam that diminishes to a small thin remnant. Very faint aromas of yeast and white rice. Fresh in the mouth and easy to drink, malt and sake are easily perceived and sushi comes to mind. This is s great beer to pair with salmon.

Very interesting aroma, you can tell it contains sake. Basic color with giant white tuft of foam. Tastes sweeter than expected with an average yet long lasting hop bite at the end. I have to give it to Lagunitas; I have never tasted a beer like this before. Good dense palate. I recommend this, it's worth a try.

Pours a brilliant golden color with a foamy white head. 9% ABV is well hidden. Beer is off dry and moderately carbonated. Notes of honey, biscuits, and has a clean hop profile. Nice.

Lemon, butter, I got a mild hint of the sake but its not over-the-top novelty levels, solid IPA with dangerously hidden alco

A fairly uninspiring appearance, clear pale gold with a webbed head. Nose is lemon, yeast, grass, nilla wafer... Not bad! Crisp feel and nice effervescence. Sweeter than expected, lemon cookie, flashes of the rice appear with warmth, more so in the finish.

Sample @ ABR 2017. Brilliantly clear golden pour with a tiny head. Engaging aroma - general herbal accents. Mountain meadow. White fruit jellies. Nicely balanced flavor. Soft fruit. Some gentle botanicals. Light doughiness. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2018 Clear gold pour with a two finger chunky, bright white head. Aroma is sweet, citrusy, a hint of banana, light solvent, a hint of cereal and very light minty herbality. Flavor is light sweet rice, pale caramel, some overripe fruit, light, sweet solvent, zesty and cooked oranges, a little banana oil. Medium body, syrupy, somewhat slick body, medium carbonation, halfway pleasant boozy burn. Good stuff, not great, a little too sweet and boozy for what else is going on..

bomber @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Aroma of malt. Nearly clear medium amber color, foamy white head that stays at one finger, lots of lace strands. Taste is crisp, clean malt (or could it be the sake and rice?) that sweeps through a moderately bittered swallow to a long finish in which sweet tea becomes more and more present. Dangerously easy to drink. Alcohol is well-hidden until you feel the warm 2-3 minutes later. Highly recommended.

I thought I was getting something harder to find but I see now that it isn't just at the brewery... Golden, clear, good white lacing. Fruity, interesting crisp flavors. (On tap at brewery, Labor Day weekend 2017, tour of northern breweries with Jazz88).

Quart bottle. Does on need 32oz of 9% beer? I mean, 22oz and 40oz seem like nice enough quantities. Pours a clear dim golden with a medium head. Very traditional golden beer and head appearance. Aroma is strong with a very clear and clean maltiness. Some undistinct American hops. Flavor has a fruit bite with a malt biscuit backbone. Aftertaste has dry biscuit fruitness. Interesting beer. Lots of clean stuff going on.
