Bottle - labeled simply as "Hop Stoopid." Golden to copper color - clear. Aroma is of both malt and hops. Really good - very hoppy but the malt still is noticeable too. Awktoberfest (404) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JAN 29, 2017
Fair. Kind of a blah aroma. Maybe a muted bit of pine. Tastes follows. Like a sweet, bitter, cloying pine comb. Remains on the palette. Not a smooth or real clean bitterness. Ok. But falls short. Mid range at best.

22 oz bomber. Pours a clear amber yellow with a billowy head. Aroma is strong mango, papaya, and grapefruit. Taste is mango and papaya with a bitterness on the middle of the palette. Mouthfeel is medium-thin. Overall, a decent DIPA but needs something to transition from the middle bitterness to the lingering flavors on the palette. meccahh69lol (223) - New Haven, Connecticut, USA - JAN 25, 2017
Poured from a 22 oz bomber into an Medieval Times imperial pint. This one has been a favorite for years and never fails to impress. I may be a tad biased because Lagunitas is probably my favorite brewer, but this is definitely one of my very favorite beers and my amazing girlfriend did an excellent job picking it out for me. It has a smooth hoppy flavor without being too overpowering and the 8% is disguised pretty well. Four thumbs up! This is one that I could probably drink every day. Too bad they don’t make it in six packs. willisread (3350) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 16, 2017
Bottle from West Side. Pours a clear, deep gold with a small head that dissipates. Big green pineapple, diesel fuel and peach aromas. Clean and crisp, light-bodied, abv hidden well. Some citrus as it warms up, more diesel notes. Clean finish, with lingering fruity hops and prickly bitterness. Solid.

Tap. Slightly hazy orange color with small white head. Aroma is piney, earthy, toasted malts. Taste is grapefruit, piney hops, toasted malts, clean and dry finish. Medium carbonation. Classic West Coast DIPA, well-made. mambossa (337) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - JAN 6, 2017
Re-rate from over a year ago. This time, the fresh 12oz bottles. Bright sunny gold pour with...do I see correctly, some flaky unfiltered sediment? Holy hell!
Big sweet piney notes on the nose, rich floral apricot, candied lemon skin, nice fruity and full esters from the yeast, damp wet flowers. Flavor is vibrant, full, yet very much the antithesis of abrasive. Don’t let the 100+ IBU fool you. Pine resin and gently sweet malts drive this beast, illuminated with some papaya, tangerine, a rounded yet dryly hollow ripe citrus and stonefruit (imagine a hollow sphere), creating an illusion of full-bodied flavors, with half the viscosity. Just a very beautiful beer. The six packs are the best deal around for your fix of hoppiness. Although I prefer a more aggressive approach, Hop Stoopid retains the balance and attention to detail we all need. drjoeng (1291) - SINGAPORE - JAN 1, 2017
8%ABV. Impeirial IPA.
Poured out amber. 10ºSRM.
Nose is sweet and cloying with honey coming to mind. Full toasted malt body with molasses and taffy because there is that sweet funk that is reminiscent of drying urinals. More pleasant aroma notes are toasted graham cracker, very ripe citrus, citrus blossom honey and a deep aroma of honeyed ham or glazed roast pork loin (char siew). There are of course more predictable aromas of pine, but for me at the periphery.
Mouthfeel is soapy. Hops with scallion and chive, then resin and bitter melon then a light resin all the way to the end. There are also citrus flavors with lemon and lime zest, Kaffir lime leaf. Spicy elemen as mentioned before but with cilantro, basil, parsley. Malt palate is honey, toasted grahams, honey nut cheerios, taffy, caramel,
Finishes sweet and bitter. Overall impression of the finish, like biting into a langsat seed.
Overall, made a solid impression with its impressive grain bill (it showed), and the cavalcade of hoppy flavors that then had a solid platform on which to parade across my palate.

A very well done iipa. Light orange with fluffy head if you pour it hard. Amazing aroma of sweet oranges, pineapple, clean malts. Flavor is similar, definitely hoppy but delicate. Crisp with a finishing bite and whiff of alcohol. Hides the bitterness and alpha acid well. You feel it more than taste it
