3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled February 29, 2014.
Appearance: The body is a perfectly clear golden amber hued with a tall and dense light tan head rising on the pour and staying for quite a bit. When it finally settles there’s an opaque coating with a few big bubbles on the edges.
Aroma: The aroma is fruity, hinting at pineapple and mango with a floral presence and a grapefruit bitterness. The malts are shy, perhaps a hint of nuttiness and caramel, but mostly hops in the aroma.
Taste: This is a clean imperial IPA, balanced bitterness with a bitter orange/pink grapefruit overlying flavor. The malt base is generic malt sweetness, hints of nuttiness mostly towards the back. The finish lingers with a splash of malty sweetness and grapefruit.
Palate: Crisp bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: This is a solid imperial IPA and a great value in the land of bombers. I enjoy this for the balance and drinkability it has, even if nothing really jumps out.
Bottle from bradleys cork. Pours clear gold with white head. Citrus, pine aroma with a little orange. Pine flavour, pineapple, orange, biscuit, quite bitter. erikaraeb (325) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 2, 2018
Smells piney and tastes bready with a bit of citrus and pine. Balanced bitterness. Good, but not mindblowing. thebeerbandit (40) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 26, 2017

Had with Abby and Sarah saying hi to the dogs at Main Street. Poured from bottle.
Pours a light orange with moderate white head.
Smell is big grapefruit and piney hops.
Taste is a delicious, bitter hop bomb, but backed up by a lot of sweet bready malt keeping it balanced. So good.
Medium mouthfeel and goes down smooth for 8%. Hops and carbonation are very prickly on the palate.
Overall, this is a wonderful, surprisingly bready hop bomb that I will definitely buy again. ironcontra (494) - ATL, Georgia, USA - DEC 13, 2017

Tap at Rattle N Hum, New York, 20th November 17. Pours clear, amber. Aroma is malt, bitter citrus. Taste is malt, sweet and then bitter, booze, unusual after taste. Good. jinroh (2466) - ESTONIA - OCT 30, 2017
Pours clear orange-amber, not too carbonated nor foamy. Nose is full on hoppy, nicely balanced against that caramel sweet - but grassy hopped and resiny - body. Taste reveals more of that heavier and hoppier character, something that drinks dangerously easy although some alcohol is there and it even warms you a bit. Beer that appeals to me as a session beer - although by all accounts, it should not be that. Loving this. pappabear (23) - Granbury, Texas, USA - OCT 30, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 30, 2017 Very strong Hops aroma that is pleasantly nice. Pours Crystal Clear Golden with a slight orange tint. Has 1 fat finger of head that dissipates in about a minute with good lacing. Taste is very smooth and drinkable with (wait for it) lots of hops. Piney, mild citrus, slight sweet caramel hints with a nice bitter finish. Did I mention the Hops? Another great beer by Lagunitas.
