12oz Bottle Pours out a crisp gold topped with a small white head. Aroma fresh pine needles, caramel and some grass. Taste is more of the pine, lots of sweet caramel, with a nice bitter end. This is a tasty one. rangerred (989) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - JAN 28, 2013
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear medium gold with a fluffy one finger white head. Really great head retention and awesome lacing leaving a nearly unbroken wall down the side of the glass.
Aroma is full of tropical fruit as is typical with Lagunitas. Lots of pineapple, tangerine, and mango with just a hint of bready malt and alcohol underneath. Not extremely complex but the citrus is very mouth watering.
A very juicy tropical fruit character on the taste that carries for a very long time. Tons of tangerine, mango, orange, and pineapple all backed up by a little bit of alcohol and bread. Bitterness is fairly mild for a double IPA and is just enough to balance out the sweetness. Mouthfeel is really perfect without any of the residual sugar all too often found in this style.
Overall, a really amazing IIPA. Extremely drinkable it feels more like 5% abv. Love the tropical, almost minty, hop character and the moderate bitterness. Definitely one to stock up on this time of year and one of the best from Lagunitas.

Pours a bright yet darker golden with a white head. Very appealing aroma. Fruity and full of citrus. Grapefruit, peach, strawberry, orange, and pine. Taste seems to be more similar to the aroma. The fruity elements seem to stand out the most here. I get a lot of peach and grapefruit. I don’t get much pine, and while they there is a good amount of grapefruit, I don’t get a whole lot of hops or bitterness. Medium in body. Good carbonation. This is very tasty. It would be hard not to like this. RABinCO (1511) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JAN 28, 2013
2013 bottle. Pours gold with a big, fluffy white head. Aroma is fresh, crisp, citrus and grassy hops. Taste is very smooth, not overly bitter or sweet. Tinges of orange and bubblegum. Finishes crisp. Very drinkable. carboloader (674) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 28, 2013
On tap at Petrol Station. Pours clear copper. All sorts of grapefruit and pine hops on the nose. Delicious mouthful of resin, as in their signature IPA style. Scrumptious. I could drink this all day, and I probably will. Their six packs of IPA have been off lately (at least in the Houston area), but this on-draft item is fresh and spot-on.

Pours a crystal clear light golden color with a decent sized bone white head that leaves much stickage on the way down. Smells of hops in spades. Light green onion and garlic grow confidently under a shady pine tree while sipping on a hint of vodka. Light bready malt peaks through but barely musters the courage to stick around. The flavor is light cracker and bready malts with an onslaught of onion garlic and pine. Medium to light body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. This is a very nice IPA I’m glad I grabbed the six pack so I can enjoy this again. jbruner (5463) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - JAN 28, 2013
Pours a copper brown from the bottle with foamy off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of piney hops and a slight caramel malt back. Taste follows, a well balanced malty west coast IPA. Damn good. NikkTwist (3406) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 28, 2013
Draft at the Khyber. Hazy amber with a big fizzy foamy head. Loads of lace. Pithy piney hops. Tangerines. Lavender. Orange seeds. Pinecones. Caramel turpentine. Red pepper. Sage. Juniper. Light brown sugar. Juicy over syrupy. Piney amber hop bite in the finish. Bitter rye at the end. flag_mtn_hkr (3) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JAN 27, 2013 does not count
This beer pours clean with little to no head. A nice eaaant beer that should be extended past it’s limited release status. Quasimodo (217) - chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 27, 2013
A clear fizzy yellow beer. Aroma of green onions, soft malt and a hint of rye. Really smooth and easy drinking IPA with a lower bitterness than the 63ibu implies. Mild citrus and pineapple notes with some malt sweetness. Another tasty beer from Lagunitas.
