Received, pleasingly unexpected, in a trade with BMoosey. Bottle poured into my IPA glass. Nice clear golden pour with amazing aroma. Flavor is very nice more malt driven than I expected. Very nice beer would like more please. deathserv (27) - Astoria, New York, USA - MAR 7, 2014
Bottles from my local grocery that carries a solid selection of beers. Drank most of the six pack from the bottle but I poured one out for the purposes of a review. Pale amber pour. Hoppy, grassy, resin-forward aroma. Medium bitter with a pleasant sweetness at the end ostensibly giving the beer its "Brown Shugga Substitute" moniker. Slightly oily, bittersweet finish. Nice beer. jdjuice (500) - Kumamoto, JAPAN - MAR 7, 2014
Pours slightly hazy rich gold, white head. Aroma of fruity and floral hops. A touch of sweetness and some interesting flavors that I think are coming from the addition of multiple grains. Hops dominate though and are more citrus than the nose. Hop character lasts for the long, pleasantly evolving finish. An interesting little twist on a hop-forward American IPA. rumproasts (5427) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAR 5, 2014
bottle. Amber with one finger head. This is an absolutely glorious IPA. Huge fruity flavor with a major hop punch. Awesome. One of my favorite beers ever. Cachobrewski (17) - MEXICO - MAR 5, 2014
It has beautiful color and a big, creamy head... Aroma is intensely hoppy; I find it to be dominated by floral/spiciness, herbs, some faint bread, very earthy. Taste is less bitter than other IPAs but extremely flavorful, balanced sweetness with a dry finish that always makes it hard to appreciate the beer at higher temperatures.

Pours a crystal clear orange with a golden tint. Fresh examples show strong, dank hops. Bright, juicy citrus hop flavors lead to some resinous notes on the back of the palate. Crisp, dry & refreshing. Very easy to drink. Hoppy bitterness lingers on the palate & it is nearly impossible to stop reaching for the glass. A benchmark IPA. Clear golden pour with a nice white head and nice white lacing. Hoppy citrus and slight pine nose. Very hop aggressive taste without much bitterness. Crompt (122) - York, South Carolina, USA - MAR 1, 2014
How have I not had this before!?! By far the best Lagunitas beer I’ve had and one of my new top 5 IPAs I’ve had so far. Heavy on the citrus and tropical fruit notes which I love in an easy drinking IPA. Can’t wait until next year’s release! ReeceG (52) - Iowa, USA - MAR 1, 2014
Drank from a tulip, pour a clear copper color and had a slight wheat and hoppy nose, the tast is excellent it starts out with a simple hop forward taste, then goes has a wheat/oat body and finishes with a clean hoppy aftertaste. that lingers. overall at 7.8% its insanely drinkable and enjoyable HisBoyElroy (107) - Michigan, USA - MAR 1, 2014
Pretty good beer. I was a bit let down. Wish it had a hoppier taste. Thanks Kevy. Maybe their best beer.
