In 1971, the Waldos met one afteroon at 4:20 in the front courtyard of their school near the statue of Louis Pasteur. They set out in a ’66 Impala armed with a "treasure map" on a journey to find a secret garden near Point Reyes. They met there at the same time every day and continued their quest. They never found the secret garden....But they keep lookin’. The dankest and hoppiest beer ever brewed at Lagunitas was made with help of the Waldos for all treasure hunters.

Extra smooth and delicious. Very little head, which disappeared quickly. Doesn't taste like it's 11.9%. Very nice.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2018 What a delicious triple! Expect a lot more bitterness and dank here but that’s not the case. Heavy butterscotch candy, melon, and pineapple. Alcohol is definitely noticeable from first sip but not too overbearing but gets more intense as it warms. Definite sipper.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle, 2018 vintage. Aroma is fairly hoppy with lots of citrus notes of orange, tangerine and grapefruit. Light tropical fruit and medium light resin notes and pine. Light cracker malt notes with hints of caramel. Pours a slightly hazy, copper orange with a medium sized, moderately thick, white head that recedes steadily to a film that lingers in clumps on the edges. Light lacing and medium sized legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with some light caramel malt notes and moderately strong to strong bitterness. Light alcohol notes in the finish. Moderate hop notes, mostly citrus with light tropical fruit and dank, resin notes. Mouthfeel is medium to medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low ,but present alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice TIPA. The alcohol is well hidden but the malt profile isn't too big or sticky sweet. Test hop profile is nice and works well with the big beer.

Draft at Beer Temple. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of massive dank hops, weed, citrus, tropical fruits and caramel malt. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draught @ Beer Temple. Dee golden color, very light hazy. Frothy white head. Aroma's: big danky resin. Retronasal it's resin, citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, light sweet. Flavor is (above) moderate bittersweet. Quite full bodied. Long firm bitter finish.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2018 I really liked this one. I think I found that man Waldo. He was hiding in a bush on 420.

ganache (6150) - New Jersey, USA - APR 20, 2018
12oz bottle. Nose is very strong, musky plant with sweet candy undertones. Pour rich golden-orange with a rocky beige head. Taste loaded with tropical fruit, rind, pith, sugar, spice, very strong alcohol but not burning, some orange marmalade, resin, dirt, some cherimoya and perhaps jackfruit. Medium-strong bitterness overcomes the sugar with time, heavy full body, smooth but resin plus grit is not good for mouthfeel. There are some enjoyable elements here but cranking the dial to 11 does not usually make for a drinkable beer. [2018.04.20: 1.7]

UPDATED: APR 20, 2018 Golden color, no white head from 12oz 2018 bottle, strong pine and caramel, and thicker. Warm beer. Great carbonation for a bottle

On tap at Bloomsbury Lanes. Cloudy amber, a dank nose with hints of toffee and orange and a touch of funk. Rich and warming, lots of spicy hoppiness. Strong herbal hoppy flavour, smooth. Delicious.

Too hoppy for my buds. Very piney. No complexity for a triple ale. Tastes a lot like lil Sumpin, which I also do not care for. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
