12oz bottle pours with a clear copper body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up crystal malts, molasses, caramel malts and a splash of prunes. The taste delivers sweet crystal malts, sweet prune like fruity esters and then a thin caramel malt note. Toward the finish it picks up an earthy sort of breadiness. Decent, maybe a little rich for the style. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 8, 2018
11/7/2016 -- from notes: Sample on tap at Million's. Caramely, little vegetably. Sweeter, mild bitter. Little alcohol warmth. Bigger body. Light carbonation. Mild slick. Bartender says this is a slow mover. I wonder how long my sample had been sitting in the line for.. patrick767 (4474) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 23, 2017
bottle - Hazy copper pour. The aroma is of caramel malt and some earthy notes. The flavor has mild to moderate bitterness (maybe more if my bottle had been fresher), as others have noted it's unusually hoppy for the style, along with the expected caramel malt and a bit of citrus. Medium bodied. Different. bwy (106) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 19, 2017
A little bit hoppier than your average marzen. An Oktoberfest with a Lagunitas twist on it.

Bottle from Craft. Hazy coppery pour with frothy, off-white head. Nose was earthy copper malt, hops, woody notes. Tasted like a more earthy and woody red IPA. drowland (9197) - Georgia, USA - MAR 5, 2017

Bottle. Good take on a style I generally don’t dig. Clear reddish orange pour with a white head. Malty sweetness. Herbal and floral hops. nuplastikk (6651) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 15, 2017
12oz bottle. Deep copper amber body. Foamy off-white head. Big malt depth, pleasant new school soft hop balance. Full bodied to almost approach Doppelbock, but has some amber malt and filtered Oktoberfest sensibility. Solid offering. FROTHINGSLOSH (8446) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 14, 2017
