COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brewed this especially bitter ale in dedication to all the world’s would-be astronauts, in remembrance of the 2005 St. Patrick’s Day Massacre on the Brewery Party Grounds and also in joyous celebration of our 20-day suspension that following January. Do the crime. Do the time. Get the bragging rights. Cheers!

Copper pour, finger of tan head. Nose is malt, booze, and pencil shavings. Middle is tree bark, stone fruit, brown sugar, nuts, and medium kilned malt. Finish shows more alcohol and caramel.

12 oz bottle from Trader Joe's in Short Pump, VA The ale poured a clear dark amber color with an off white head. The head had lasting power and excellent lacing down the glass. Toffee, caramel malts, plums and hints of pine are detected on the nose. The taste is even more complex with some citrus, raisins and a nice warming sensation. The medium body ale has average-soft carbonation. Great ale. The ale finishs clean with some caramel sweetness mixed with hop flavors of tropical fruit. One of the best from Lagunitas.

oobawa (1919) - Tennessee, USA - FEB 6, 2018
Tasty dank bomb from Lagunitas, boozy and sweet but with a considerable herbal hop bitterness, tossing in some classic orange marmalade notes amid all the earthy, weedy hops. Spicy, piney, grassy...pretty diverse hop profile, shored up by a hefty, thick caramel malt base. A little warm and sharp around the edges, but lordy is it pretty, and the minty herbal earthiness of the hops makes for a lovely bouquet. Chunky, tasty pint.

Rich amber color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of caramel malt, pine hops, some fruit, & citrus; Flavor of sweet malt, caramel/syrup, spicy hops, and citrus; Warm finish & slightly bitter; Nicely balanced; Pretty decent actually.

This one is dangerous. Deliciously aromatic with sweet caramel, toffee, juicy mango notes on the nose. The flavor is fruity, the hops are smooth and delicate with a slight bitter finish. Carbonation has a nice prickly bite. Overall a very well composed beer, too delicious for the high ABV of 9.7%

3/10/16 complex sith bitter taste while drinking but not too bitter. Finish is long-lasting and very bitter. Looking at reviews maybe it's worth trying again let it warm up a bit next time ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Dark orange color with tan head. Aroma is piney, raisins, some brown sugar. Taste is sugary, piney, some petrol. High carbonation. Not bad, but doesnt do it completely for me.
