22 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy dull amber gold with a moderate linen white head that lasted through about two-thirds of the glass and left some light lace. Pleasant aroma of sweet citrus and pine. The flavor is initially caramel and sweet, which is then partially washed over with pine, and to a lesser extent grapefruit bitterness. The caramel lingers in the background, while the sweetness remains more prominent and compliments the bitterness at the finish. Kind of like a sweet-n-sour dish, only this is sweet-n-bitter. A solid beer. Radek Kliber (7470) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - MAR 11, 2008

Appearance: Amber-rosy ale with medium bright white top 3+
Nose :Very potent high alpha acid hop aroma, sweet fruity medium with vanilla and berry ending. 7+
Flavor/Palate : medium bodied, bold blend of malt (with chewy texture) and hops. Green leaf with raw mango . Noticeable slightly dry alcohol, yet overall quiet smooth and non intrusive. Slightly raw acidic finish. Solid brew found here , but I would not call it exceptional .
had it on tap @ frisco grille in columbia, md. almost no head... golden/ copper brown color. malty, raisin aroma. taste - a nice balance of malt and nuttiness, slightly piney. hoppy bittersweet finish. alchohol is hidden nicely. thought there was a little something lacking in the taste though. i thought the flavor could have been a little deeper and more malty, but very enjoyable none-the-less. palate - was a little thin for my taste. i liked the dogfish indian brown better, but still really enjoyed this - would have on tap again! 10%drunk (21) - Auburn, Washington, USA - MAR 1, 2008

22oz. "Sneak Release" bottling. Fruity, leafy, well-hopped nose, strong scents of lemon and pine arise, along with lighter notes of honey, flowers, pepper, doughy pastry and grapefruit. Deep golden copper color, clear, with a fine, slight head and thin wisps of lacing. Flavor profile is dominated by the hop character, strongly resinous, piney and bitter, with plenty of citrus throughout and a lightly sweet, syrupy malt undercurrent, finishing with a blend of lingering hop spice, warming alcohol and fresh lime. Acidic, oily and drying on the palate with a full body. Certainly quite flavorful and appropriately bitter considering the origin. Or is that triumphantly victorious? Perhaps a bit of both. Draught at Chef Paul’s Bavarian Lodge in Lisle. Clear dark amber with a thin bubbly off-white head. Supersweet piney soapy aroma. Quite bitter, greapefruit, seems like a double IPA with the strong hops and sweet malt. Full in the mouth, a bit sticky with a strong lingering bitterness.
